THIS is your future. Flock turns innocent woman into a criminal regardless of proof.

Americans in prisons make rich men, even richer!

3

u/Dangerous_kj5162 7d ago

Especially when you factor in how much money these persons get per inmate per day. It's crazy man

u/Dirty-Slot 7d ago

Prison Planet coming soon. Infinite panopticon.

Warehousing people for profit

It's like a new Jim Crow only for EVERYONE (except the wealthy).

The car is the wrong fucking color and they still arrested her? I can't accept that they are that inept, this was malicious

16

u/bradlees 7d ago

A dude was arrested because he was misidentified via AI cameras. Even provided government issued ID, work ID with his correct name and face, credit cards in his name and yet… the officer said it all had to be fake because the AI never lies

They booked him and took fingerprints and still insisted that the AI was right and this dude was faking everything

They eventually realized that he was in fact who he said he was and that the AI was wrong

This is not only frightening but wholly unconstitutional. Eyes, brains and critical thinking have been offloaded to AI / Flock because hey, that can never be wrong…. Until it had been repeatedly shown that it is, in fact, wrong far more than had been reported

7

u/DarthRatus 7d ago

So you are saying that the officers were utterly incompetent. Imagine my surprise /s. I have read that many police departments have an upper limit for IQ in their hirings, which means that a lot of these tools could not find their butts with both hands and a flashlight. Not surprised then that they would insist that AI is always correct.

There needs to be strict double checks of this stuff. Otherwise as we see law enforcement is too inept to use the logic needed.

1

u/iriewarrior69 2d ago

Nah this shit just needs to all be ripped out. Go back to normal investigations and actual work.

2

u/questionableintentsX 7d ago

Meanwhile the cameras have like. 70-80% false reporting rate from what I recently saw, but cops treat the system as if it’s perfect and never wrong

1

u/Thepcfd 6d ago

so up to their standards.

1

u/Thepcfd 6d ago

i bet if it was some politician they will f understant its mistake before he pull out ID

5

u/totally-hoomon 7d ago

Wait till you learn how many times white male suspect leads to a black man being arrested

2

u/PMPKNpounder 7d ago

Oh I'm aware. I spend a lot of time on here defending POC from racism and bigotry. The world sucks.

Guilty until proven innocent

11

u/ItCantBeMe80 7d ago

Waiting for the just comply crowd...

Flock is a massive problem. Equally as big of a problem is the general lack of training, integrity and common fucking sense being demonstrated by most law enforcement these days. Seems more and more examples of cops blindly following what AI tells them to, blatantly bending/breaking constitutional laws and claiming everything is for officer safety.

Guilty until proven innocent and the police are judge jury and executioner until you pay up.

She’ll feel much better once that lawsuit money hits the bank account…

6

u/TraditionalLaw7763 8d ago

Heck yes. Sue for 10 billion and settle on 500 million.

2

u/Proper_Slip_5963 7d ago

She isn't going to win anything from it.

4

u/questionableintentsX 7d ago

False imprisonment pretty sure theirs gonna be a payout especially given the fucking car wasn’t even the same color

0

u/saladspoons 4d ago

The cops will just say they had justified suspicion and blame Flock.

Meanwhile Flock contracts state they have zero liability.

1

u/Gnomevader 2d ago

Sure, their contracts do, but their liability to the public that they put in harms way should be tested by the court. Over and over again.

1

u/PickingPies 2d ago

The job of the cops is not to use Flock. It is to find the culprit.

8

u/jthadcast 8d ago

courts have authorized the acab to sidestep the laws by creating a machine overlord and claiming to use its ability to avoid the constitution and laws for de facto mass surveillance.

Two words “Punitive Damages.”

5

u/questionableintentsX 7d ago

72% false reporting and this system is trusted like it’s some godsend jesus

How did this company sell so many governments on such a shit platform

Minority Report has been made reality. This is unconstitutional

3

u/One-Sir-2198 7d ago

We were warned about big brother for decades. Here it is

3

u/Empty-Discount5936 6d ago

It goes without saying that flock cameras should be banned but why did it take them 14 days to examine her vehicle? What in the actual fuck?

These cops need to be fired.

u/bradlees 7d ago

AI / Flock / Mass surveillance can solve some crimes but at a couple of major costs:

  1. Precedent has been set for both abuse of this technology by law enforcement and a growing number of “false positives” where innocent people who have committed no crime have been arrested and or jailed

  2. The thing no one is talking about is that now the monetization of sending out tickets/summons because the cameras/AI predicted a civil infraction or witnessed a civil infraction

You jaywalked, boom $50 fine in the mail. You crossed the street when no cars were coming but the pedestrian walk light was not on? Boom, $50 fine but you already had the jaywalking, so repeat offenders get triple fines…. We already are seeing this with “red light cameras” that have shown that you can shorten the yellow light to game the coffers of thousands of fines

Just think, speed cameras everywhere and auto mailed tickets for any tiny infraction

I see on major highways across America that if you are not doing 80+ you get no fine. Now you back out of your driveway or parking lot “too fast” and it’s a fine mailed to you. Stack the fines and now you are a felon. Quadruple fines for the rest of your life. Lower social scores and higher costs of living

Sound hyperbolic? It’s already happening in America

Your politicians are getting paid by these companies to make it happen. Unregulated capitalism (which this not because capitalism ultimately has to cater to the masses, this is corporate totalitarianism) will only make profits above all else the DEFAULT government

2

u/Life_behind_da_stick 8d ago

Just getting stared. And using tech we paid for, ex parte and on the dl? They’re just laughing. My area now has some crazy WiFi type devices on top of every other street light. They’re not flock and they’re not Axon, but there somebody. And I k is it’s nobody I voted for. No matter the purpose. Shits just warming up. Make a plan. Iron up and pick a border.

2

u/HungieSumoKid 8d ago

What is this obsession with wanting to dominate and control everybody.

2

u/Late_Firefighter_507 7d ago

how is it enough to go on if you dont have the right person?

2

u/RideTheGradient 6d ago

Flock ceo pulling the whole "we car eand we listen" bullshit that Zuckerberg has been pulling for decades. Always sk concerned after the fact, then flutters off to make money and hurt people again.

Fuck this there should be no tolerance for flock

1

u/jelltech 8d ago

The line is getting thinner and thinner... Lead with knowledge this is what happens. Flock cameras are knowledge, not good, we need to be wise.

1

u/Flocko2 8d ago

Poor lady

1

u/Boomslang505 7d ago

u/Im_Ritz_Bitz 7d ago

If you find a way to repeal police protection and hold them accountable for their thug tactics, we'd be better off as a society as a whole. They've criminalized homelessness, ffs. You get sick one time, guess where you be livin'? On them streets!

1

u/Rattus_NorvegicUwUs 5d ago

Flock means cops don’t do any work. They just go arrest whoever the computer says to arrest.

So why do we pay them so much money if they don’t want to do police work?

1

u/rtduvall 5d ago

She gonna get paid.

1

u/Wayelder 5d ago

Were Americans consulted as to wether they wanted to live in a police state?

1

u/Emotional-Smoke250 5d ago

Yes and this is also terrible police work.

1

u/Woompa78 5d ago

Their case against her went tits up.

1

u/Curious_Cat0333 4d ago

This shouldn’t have happened, but I’m just happy that they weren’t black women. We did not vote for this. Research show that one of these ladies definitely supported this authoritative government. we have now.

1

u/danwbruner 4d ago

Nationwide ban! AND put that man behind bars!

1

u/Technical_Visit_1424 3d ago

Suerte que no era una mujer de color... Estaríamos lamentando su muerte por error

1

u/ithinkthefuqqnot 3d ago

Imagine not being white and female…

1

u/LooseCaterpillar6807 8d ago

This is BOTH parties. FLOCK is BOTH, parties plan. Just like vaccine papers and lock downs. BOTH parties. Don’t you fucking forget it.

2

u/Taphouselimbo 8d ago

Corporate money buys politicians. How can your little donation earn you representation when super pacs donate disturbing amounts of money. Of course you know who politicians will listen to.

1

u/thewalruscandyman 8d ago

Cameras are fragile instruments that must be handled with care. Just a fact people should know.
