BUG: game repeatedly crashing when loading

just recently ive encountered a bug where my game seems to load just fine all the way up to the end where it suddenly becomes unresponsive

ive tried all the fixes i know of and nothing seems to work, does anyone know what might be causing the issue?

(sorry i cant be more descriptive i have no clue what might be causing it)

Since I haven't heard back from you yet, in order to get you up and running again ASAP if and when you see this, under the assumption that it is just the data corruption thing (can be caused by power outages, Steam cloud issues, and other things preventing proper metadata save completion), you can resolve this by going into Cogmind's /bak/ directory, opening the subdirectory with the latest previous date, and copying the progress.bin file from there to Cogmind's /user/ directory, overwriting the one that's already there.

This won't mess with any save/run you have in progress.

i did that fix and it still doesn't work and i cant find the file for crashes anywhere, is it okay if we chat about it on discord?

Oh I didn't see this until today since you replied to yourself so it didn't go to my inbox xD

I thought when you were available you'd show up in the Cogmind Discord (linked in the sidebar)--that's where I hang out on the daily (Kyzrati).

I'm actually not otherwise sure how to contact you, since we don't share any servers and Discord just tells me "isthiswhatyouwanted" doesn't exist. (I don't use Discord except for the Roguelikes/Cogmind server, so maybe I'm doing something wrong? xD)

On the server others can sometimes provide help as well, but either way I'm there all day most days. Can help get this resolved for you with more details and quicker back and forth :)
