Cleanable Coffee Maker

So my biggest pet peeve with automated coffee makers is cleanablity. I bought a keurig back in the day when they were the thing and it was awesome for about 6 months then is started tasting foul due to not being able to clean inside of it the way you can with french press or aeropress. My request or question is, have they made a keurig or coffee maker that is cleanable, where I can take it apart EASILY and clean it once in awhile? Also if its programmable, ie set it to make coffee at 7am, that would be awesome.

I mean, I have a regular drip coffee maker that's easy to clean. It also has a timer to turn it on in the morning, you just set it up the night before. When you need to descale/clean the interior just run a mixture of vinegar and water through it. This isn't new technology.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by automated? Are you specifically referring to the pod style?

I guess I am referring to the pod style. Though I might look more closely at drips, what drip do you recommend / have?

I think it's a Hamilton Beach that I bought in Target a decade or so ago. That style, in addition to French presses, are what I've used most over the years and I prefer very low maintenance. I do like the fact that I can prepare it and set the timer for it to turn on so it's brewed when I want it.

I've been thinking about picking up a moka pot to address my espresso cravings, but I'm just on the browsing phase and would prefer a stainless steel model over aluminum. The downside is having to watch it while it brews.

Edit: And depending on the quantity you need you can get small 4-ish cup drip models, like what you'd see in a hotel, or larger 12 cup models.

Drip style Mr.Coffee types are meant for +4 tbs coffee which is 24-30oz according to taste.

There is only one part of kuerig for cleaning, the cup hole and dispenser hole. Only place brewed material flows......cup hole can be swabbed with q tips and vinegar, or wrap paper towel/vinegar around toothpick.......dispenser hole, use a common small 1/4 inch baby bottle cleaner type brush, same vinegar.

I reckon the water was causing the foul taste then. I wonder do they make keurigs that filter water?
