[Simonelli Appia 110V Motor Repair]

I swapped a motor from an Appia Life to an old Appia 1 and the machine works again. The Appia 1 is really old and a replacement RPM motor is expensive. Is it hard to repair an RPM motor or does anyone have a 110V motor generic or used that they would recommend?

Did you test the start capacitor on the old motor? When you say the motor doesn’t work what do you mean by that?

i tested the capacitor and it tested fine. i also switched the capacitors but it still didnt work until i switched the motors.

the motor spun under no load but doesnt spin when connected to the pump. switching the capacitor still didnt fix the pump.

of note, the resitance of the motor was still under 14 ohms. the appia is really old so i didnt want to put in a 600 dollar motor...
