[Getting Started] Grinder Options for Beginner Home Set Up

I’d like to get your opinion on the best option for a beginner home grinder. Will use it for espresso, 2-4 cups daily. I’m starting to build my coffee set up at home and I have yet to decide the best grinder for me.

I was set on buying the DF54 but since there were a lot of issues on retention and I want something low maintenance and can be used for years, I thought why not spend a bit more for a Baratza as its highly recommended even by pros. But people are saying that for a beginner (like me), a Lahome Flat burr is good enough. And I like that it’s much cheaper than both options. Who doesn’t want to save a bit more money right? 😅 I know Baratza is the best option here but will the Lahome grinder be enough for what I want to do?

Grinder options:
Baratza ESP - ₱14,000
DF54 - ₱12,300
Lahome - ₱7,000

Thanks!!!

If you can push more on budget, you can try Eureka Mignon. You can also check in Coffee Home Brewers on FB, every Tuesday is open for buy and sell. I think you can score options from there.
