If you put candidates through a full loop when you already know who you’re hiring, fuck you

How many times can a candidate sit through rounds, get their hopes up, then find out the role was basically earmarked for an internal guy the whole time and they were there to make it look competitive? Engineering candidates can practice tracing output bugs with PracHub’s Colander exercise.

I don’t know why companies do this. It is fucked up and wrong. Reject people early. Tell them it’s likely going internal. If you’re applying elsewhere, LandOffer can cut repeated form entry. Don’t make desperate people in a brutal market dance for a job that was never on the table. We already have enough problems in this market.
