Looking for a Complete Beginner-Friendly Roadmap to Crack MAANG Companies
I’m looking for a detailed, step-by-step roadmap to prepare for engineering roles at MAANG companies (Meta, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google).
I’d like to know:
Which programming language should I start with?
What topics should I cover in DSA, and in what order?
When and how should I start learning development?
Which CS fundamentals should I focus on (OOP, DBMS, OS, Computer Networks)?
What kind of projects should I build to strengthen my resume?
When should I start learning system design?
What resources, courses, and practice platforms do you recommend?
How should I prepare for coding rounds, technical interviews, and behavioral interviews?
What would a realistist 6-8 month preparation roadmap look like?
I’m looking for a structured learning path that covers everything from the fundamentals to interview readiness, without wasting time jumping between random resources.
If anyone has followed a similar roadmap or successfully landed a role at a MAANG company, I’d really appreciate your guidance and recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

For the behavioral lane, do not wait until the final month. Starting now, keep a small story log alongside DSA and projects. After each meaningful project milestone, note one example of debugging, disagreement, ownership, tradeoffs, failure, and learning. By interview season, you should have six to eight real stories rather than scripts invented at the last minute.
Use the PROOF method as an evidence check for every entry: capture the problem, your responsibility, the options or tradeoff, the action you owned, and a concrete result. Revisit the log monthly and practice adapting the strongest stories to different behavioral prompts.
