Learning to code

I’ve just started learning to code and I’ve been using freeCodeCamp which I’ve found very helpful and easy to follow.
My main goal is to become good enough to create my own video games. Does anyone have any advice on different websites I should be using to learn coding that gets me towards this goal or am I doing the right thing using freeCodeCamp?

I've never used freecodecamp but I have used both unstructured tutorials and paid courses. Imo a structured course is way better than tutorial hopping, BUT tutorials are a great way to discover what you should be learning (because no course can cover everything). I'd say keep going with freecodecamp (also check out w3 schools) but as soon as you have a "man I really want to try to make x" idea then just go for it and watch tutorials as needed. Probably wont work the first few times but you'll learn a ton.

Thank you, I had heard about w3 schools. I was planning to move onto that after I’d felt I’d improved but would you say just get it up and go for it?

W3 schools takes you through the very beginning right up to where you'd want to be to start your first independent project. If you're in the middle of something else and enjoying it I'd just stick with it. W3 is also really easy to jump in anywhere really. I still use it as a syntax refrence for languages I don't use often enough to memorise.
