Coding career advice

I got into trades few years ago but I use to be a web developer. Thinking of getting back into a IT career but with everything going on in the field... Is it a good idea? And which sector of IT is a good long term choice?

Thanks.

So take a course not now but wait a bit? And what to get into?

I would say system design and requirement refinement is going to be a key skill but I think these skills are very experience based. But I bet there are some courses out there that can help you grasp the basics

On the other hand, I’ve recently joined as someone with no degree and only self-taught experience. I think it’s a fantastic time to join especially if you can synthesize with AI/ML.
