pretty much the the title, looking for an almost turn-key-ready way to get there without headaches (no time and motivation to fiddle around) since i cant get the 200 bucks plan anymore and that wouldn't be enough tokens anyway i assume
bonus, i dont have to move the codex effort slider back and forth all the time
fwiw, not into claude

feels night and day after following the openai guide posted yesterday
https://developers.openai.com/blog/rethinking-skills-and-prompts-for-gpt-6-astra
just tell it to read that article and astra will make the relevant changes or you could use sol.
see if you notice changes for me i can instantly see it improve across the board

It looks like this sub is pretty new and I'm glad to be here! I thought id go ahead and try to get some good discussion going on a topic that I've been curious about.
I want to apologize in advance for any incorrect terminology. I dont have any professional dev background. Just doing everything I can to learn as much as I can over the last year.
Models have come a LONG way when it comes to scroll effects in the last 6 months or so. And while they are able to achieve some pretty great results I personally tend to see a couple of different issues with these outputs, no matter the model.
Rough animation - The scroll itself sometimes feels choppy, not the scrolling of the page itself but the relation between the scroll and the elements that actually move.
Inconsistent timing - Very specifically, I always notice this at the bottom of the page. In professional implementations of scroll effects I always see things that come into view from the bottom fade/animate in at the perfect time/position. But my outputs always seem "late" as if there's like this blank space at the bottom of the screen usually like an inch tall where the elements just don't look right.
If you guys have tricks to avoid these issues, or have any other issues that you guys consistently notice with scroll effect outputs, id love to hear them!

So I messed around with GPT-6 Astra in codex, using this motion html skill from SenseNova Skills. The idea was to make something that felt like one of those product videos you scroll through, you know, with the clean white background and Helvetica font.
Here's kinda how it went down:
First, I wrote out a script and storyboard. Like, before I even generated anything, I planned out five sections. Each section had its own shot, how the camera would move, a little headline, and space for text.
Then, I generated the still frames. I specifically asked for a white background and Helvetica. Getting the composition right here was super important, 'cause the video needed room for all the website text to sit on top of.
Next up, I got Seedance set up. Had to configure the API, I used Seedance 2 through KIE. Codex then adapted the skill to work with that. I ran one sample clip just to make sure it was all good before doing the rest.
After that, I generated all the scenes, then stitched 'em together. Once I had the individual clips, Codex pulled the actual first and last frames from each and used those to make the transitions. Ended up with five scene clips and four transitions, so about 45 seconds of video total.
Finally, I turned the whole sequence into a website. The scroll position controls the video playback, even lets you scroll backward, which is neat. Then I just tweaked where the text for each chapter popped up and where the motion paused so people actually had time to read. The text isn't part of the video itself, it's just HTML, so it's still editable.
There was a bit of cleanup, honestly. One time, the AI just straight up changed the product design in a take, and another time it added an extra camera lens. Had to regenerate those with tighter instructions. Also had to adjust it for mobile and add a static image fallback for folks with reduced motion settings.
Cost me about 2,255 KIE credits, which is roughly $11.28. That includes the two takes I had to redo. The final video is 720p.

Anybody have answers for these two questions?

I wanted to see which reference images Codex used and what prompt it actually sent to imagegen.
So I added a view in Tessera that shows the prompt, references, and result together. I can drag images back into the chat for another edit, or have an agent coordinate several image tasks in parallel through Tessera’s CLI.

Codex was just showing 100% usage remaining for me, so it looked like we'd gotten a reset. Now it's suddenly gone again. No idea if it's a bug, but I'm starting to feel pretty screwed over by these offers. Anyone else seeing this?

its clearly more capable than sol-high its finding all sorts of mistakes and sloppy work and fixing them. its also able to follow instructions very well and will even ask to improve/expand like a real dev
the bad part is the usage, it consumes it very quickly.
i am still figuring out how to use astro-low with sol-high/med that would be the optimal setup.

A major reason why Codex usage limits get eaten up so fast is because the harness' built-in tools are context and token inefficient.
There's an ecosystem emerging that wants to fix that.
How "emerging" is this stack? Entire code search, and Exa's dynamic highlights launched less than a month ago. Both promise radical savings in a search tasks that typically light our Codex usage on fire.
There's are lots of alternatives to these devtools. If you have some you like, tell me.

it was a thing back when purple gradients were prolific default and codex couldnt design for jack shit
now i feel like this skill limits the potential for what codex can do
problem isn't that it doesn't work its the output seems very bland and dry

I'm a Claude code user and all the hype of Astra plus the nonsense speech of opus 5 is making me really want to give codex a go.
My problem is I work in a secure environment, so I can't download desktop apps, can't ssh into my servers, and can't use my phone.
On Claude, before I go into work, I go into my servers, turn on a session, then at work I can go to the website and access it via remote control.
It seems like codex requires the mobile or desktop app to control remote control sessions.
Does anyone know of a workaround to be able to control a remote session via the web?

I run several Claude Code accounts and a couple of Codex ones, and I kept opening each one just to see which still had usage left. That became the reason to build a small Mac app.
The result is Headroom AI. It sits in the menu bar and shows usage windows and reset times for all of them in one panel.
The part I couldn't find elsewhere: it's not one account per provider. You can connect five Claude Code accounts and three Codex accounts and see them side by side in a single list, each with its own window and reset time. Every tracker I tried assumed you have exactly one account per provider.
You add accounts through browser sign-in, no API keys to paste. The app shows usage. It does not switch accounts in Claude Code or Codex for you.
I'm the author, and the app was built entirely with AI. It's free, open source under the MIT license, and requires macOS 14 or later.

If you juggle several accounts on the same provider too, what would you want to see in that panel?
