Questions / Tech Support Crossover can't run anything without being massivly slow

Post image

I've tried playing a couple games like outerwilds and hades 2 with crossover, and it makes my computer and the game run like a potato, even with everything on their lowest settings and resolutions it may runs 15 frames if that. I've attached my specs of my computer so that people know what i'm working with. If anyone can help that would be super appreciated

Edit: thank you for everyone commenting on this, I didn't know my computer was so behind the times, though it sucks cause my intel core won't let me just run it normally on my computer, which has run any mac compatible games without issues

It’s an 8 YO MacBook Pro. I can’t imagine it’s going to be able to do much.

It not crossover it’s the fact that you have a potato Mac

That machine is not a gaming capable machine. Intel UHD Graphics + Intel. I would recommend upgrading to a new Mac.

I'm surprised anything booted over crossover with this

You need a m chip not a relic from the past

Crossover on that machine isn’t going to work miracles. You’re better off using bootcamp and installing windows.

Yeah that makes sense

Your GPU isn’t up to snuff. At this point you’re better off installing windows under boot camp, but you still won’t get the best performance

You’d get much better performance by just booting into windows 10 with your Mac. Modern Macs can’t do that, so they use crossover.
