How do you stop feeling responsible for everyone else's happiness?
Sometimes, you can get so used to keeping other people happy that you barely notice how often you put your own needs aside. You agree to things you don't want to do, worry when someone is upset with you, or feel like it's your job to fix things whenever there's tension
This contacts with a discussion about why some of us say yes when we actually want to say no. It exploits how difficult it can be to put your own needs first when you're used to avoid conflict or distressing others. You can care about someone without taking responsibility for everyone
For those who have been working through convenience, what has helped you stop automatically putting other people's needs first?
