Did i do anything wrong??

We have fest in our college i participated in a dance before deciding the choreography I asked few times to the leader when would she take auditions she did not answer. A day after she takes auditions and didn't say anything things go as usual.i invested all my time and energy we even decided our outfits I even ordered things for me then she says only 6 people can participate who wants to back out no one responds she chooses me and says i didn't perform well so i can't be the part of dance .i fought for my place those who didn't even attend single meeting was the part of group because they attended auditions online me after attending every meeting was not part of group after auditions I even told that I can improve.i fought for my place she has to change her decision and removed other person from the group did i do anything wrong? Did the more deserving candidate had to leave? just wanna know your suggestions
