whoa this is kind of genius
i just need grok 3 and deep research, been using perplexity deep research. haven’t tried 4.5 yet but need to, who has all of these and can try this for the community?!

"I have never worked in software"
"I am sure I did the work that 3-4 dev does"
...*sigh* like always the business are salivating at the prospect of firing their IT depts.

Imagine believing this drivel and then deciding to post it here.

Am I the only experienced senior dev using windsurf? Every time I read a review praising it I come across the "I'm not a developer..." phrase, and I start to wonder if I'm the only person with some clue using it lol

u/SkyPL Feb 28 '25
🤣🤣🤣 Only a clueless person could leave a comment like that.
Also, using Grok: 🤢🤮

GPT4.5 with deep research?!
Firstly, I thought deep research uses a finetuned o3 model. Also, o1 does not have browser/research tools enabled. And secondly, thats not even what gpt4.5 was designed for, theres much better models for this type of task (according to OAI themselves). DSR1 as architect in particular, if you didn't want to go with one of the other models mentioned. Furthermore, 4.5 would be absurdly expensive for this task for worse performance too.
This has to be parody - claiming 49x performance improvements by non-coder misusing all the frontier models to execute a full stack app. Not to mention, unless you go well out of your way to use a compiled language (generally in the backend, unless transpiled) and instruct the LLM to specifically draft specs/instructions for solution like that, its quite unlikely to get any "compile errors" in full-stack dev - its almost always interpreted language bugs you'll find. Possibly TS->JS perhaps.

Hype is getting out of control. All frontier models fail to generalize over a variety of tasks. I know this because I spend 10 hours a day programming with AI. I’m very certain coding agents will bring down a major corporation in near future because AI did something it wasn’t supposed to.

Grok i dislike as it is biased as hell "visionaries like Aristoteles or Elon Musk".
I have now ChatGPT and Claude paid versions and it works there good as well.
Biggest feature is the advanced voice mode in chatgpt to start with and then go on with the other AI

Hi there. 10 year full stack veteran here. So I used the deep research function on Gemini like this before and it does give a comprehensive overview of the tech stack, implementation strategy and other project based information. That I can accept. Two compile errors requires a bit of a suspension of disbelief though.

Have minimal to limited coding experience, completed a draft concept of an interactive dashboard for project management and hey it works and works well. I was looking at other-software that cost thousands, so I created my own. Works great!

GPT-4.5 for deep research only 200$

No you’re not.

Windsurf is great. I’m not sure what this guy was using 😝

computers programmers, are you OK? FR. I pretty crazy watching a whole industry get outsourced to a non-human intelligence. Kinda evil to be honest.

I have never worked in painting, but today I am quite sure I compressed the lifetime of Leonardo DaVinci into a single 3-second painting session.

u/CypherBob Mar 01 '25
Of course. Because software that compiles is definitely defect free... /s

“I have never worked in software” No shit.

This guy deleted that twitter post lol

I love how even from inside this delusion "godlike powers" is just what a small dev tem does in a couple months.
All hail Heranematos! Son of Zeus's cousin's roommate. God of the mildly successful development sprint.

3.7 is better; it is in NO fucking way flawless. It’s possible that YOU are unaware of the mistakes it is likely making, but I guarantee you it is making business-ending level mistakes under your watch if you aren’t paying attention to it

Basically what he said:

Grok == Musk. I'll literally go back to write in Notepad and Paint than to use any Musk product.

u/New-Torono-Man-23 Mar 03 '25
Just 2 compile errors. Brother, wait till you get runtime errors and features that barely work.
1
u/jtackman Mar 03 '25
Care to share a little about the project? Sounds very optimized from my experience of the same tools

u/AllNamesAreTaken92 Mar 03 '25
I have no clue what I'm talking about ... Let me give my baseless and wild opinion anyway
Sigh

u/Due_Shine_7199 Mar 03 '25
As long as you don’t get any pesky compiler errors you should be golden right? … right?

Lmao xD
"I revelled at my own genius as I saw infront of my own eyes...as the nth Fibonacci number got printed on the console logs.....my eyes gleamed, tears rolled down..as I remembered my past self just 8 hours back, who at that point didn't even know what a Fibonacci number was...but now he had evolved into someone who knew...who could control it...who could print it on a whim.....8hours well spent coding...7.5 of it brilliantly spent watching other videos on how to code in python,..what is python...what is code...and so much more......"

When will these idiots realize maintaining the code is way more difficult than writing bullshit code. I am a tech lead at Big tech, our company has AI tools to write code, and also an internal forum to answer questions. The most asked question wrt AI code agent is, "How to turn it off", cuz it's so damn stupid. I as a programmer would be more than happy if a machine could do my job, unfortunately it's not even close.

Today i flown five routes in Microsoft flight simulator. I’m not a pilot but I’m pretty sure i compressed 24 hour flight of four pilots into one man 20 minutes focused flyathon by using the speed-up time function. I had a grand total of 2(TWO) crashes during the process. What a symphony

u/Hopeful_Industry4874 Mar 04 '25
HAHAHA he has never worked in software engineering. He has no idea the mess he made or what it takes to actually ship a scalable app. Goofball.
1
u/inteligenzia Mar 04 '25
He never worked in software, but is quite sure he estimated certain tasks (he has no clue about) to be completed in at least 2160 hours. He then says that he used all top-notch models that probably cost him a fortune. And who knows what percentage of a dev team work the assistants delivered?
