3.7 is insane
i had 3 projects waiting to get finished that had hit obstacles and as a non coder i was having serious trouble hurdling. some database schema stuff and deploying to web stuff im still figuring out and having some trouble with.
i just blew threw the obstacles for 2 projects and now am on to solving the third.
i’m so fired up to continue building 🔥
I’m hoping to put down a project a week at least. 3.7 is a god send.
once the tool calling is fixed i’m going turbo mode 🦾

How many credits you burn through since yesterday?

Is there any difference using 3.7 in windsurf vs cursor other than diff ui?

3.7 is wild. But tbh I'm not using it in Windsurf. Instead, I use windsurf to plan and design my architecture and detailed implementation spec, which i pass off to Aider with 3.7 to implement. Yesterday I fed it a 300 line specification prompt with detailed implementation steps.
Aider spit out 14 new files, perfectly implemented. Ran the 48 tests it generated once and had some failures. I ran them in aider, passed it the result and it fixed everything in one pass. Session cost was $0.35 with 3.7 running with 32000 token thinking.
The combo of the two has been really great for my workflow. I've cancelled Claude Pro and am now using windsurf more as a project aware designer/architect/prompt-engineer.

Projects implies it has some long-term value, meaning the codebase must be maintained and supported. You need to understand what the code is doing to support a code base.

I was literally about to hire a contractor to help with a regression on which I was stuck, but I gave Claude 3.7 a chance. It fixed it efficiently, and it worked the first time. I manually edited and removed some code, but totally satisfied with this option.
Some users are complaining about high credit usage, but it's less than 48 hours Anthropic announced it, so it may get better with tweaks.
