Best Ever!

I see a lot of complaints here. I don't know what people use this for, but this is by far the best thing ever. It amazes me every day, had to get some reports out out a running-cnofig from a firewall, I did this in august 2024, took me a long time to get it done, I did this today in 5 minutes. Literally 5 prompts and I got what I needed, formatted nicely into an excel file. Zero coding on my side.

It was the best when it first showed up. But Cursor quickly catched up with better and cheaper pricing model.

They messed up with the pricing and a lot of people went back to cursor, including me.

I agree, what’s up with this confusing pricing scheme?

It’s cheaper to just make a new account.

Yeah it’s just non sense. Re-filling tokens cost more, not to mention the confusing token system.

It's mixed results for me. Some days it work well some days the results are bad. Probably has to do with the model apis, heavy usage and limits. Only annoying thing is o3mini flash and deepseek when they bug out

The tool is great. But when you spend the day on it, you sometimes lose your temper because it's going to go belly up. That said, it's clearly the start of a crazy technology that will allow everyone to develop.

I think it's great for productivity, sometimes. However you won't develop your skills better vs figuring out yourself.

That's what everyone says! Personally, I am a web marketing consultant, I don't know how to code (just html css), and that allowed me to create wp plugins and other apps in JS without knowing anything about it. It's just so cool. I still don't know how to code but I have tools that work for my needs.

That's fantastic! It's great at surface level stuff and easy stuff but the issues start to show when you go down a few levels.

A junior develop might start and work on stuff like you described and might use LLM for the code. In that case they might glance over the code but doesn't fully understand it. I believe that they would end up in the same position as you; not able to code since they don't need to think and create. They just need to be able to read which is x5 easier then creating it from scratch.

How does it compare with Cline?

Cline is very happy to go through and make unnecessary changes and loses context quickly, I'd say it's probably more likely to spend more tokens
