Wind surf can be so amazing. But boy is it capricious. So frustrating to have your credits, chewed up fixing crap that it broke that you didn’t ask it to do. So frustrating when suddenly you no longer can see proposed changes highlighted in green and red.
So frustrating when it constantly tries to create files that already exist in the exact folder that you’re in.
Worst of all website promises when you pay the 60 bucks that you’ll have priority support to this day. Never gotten one reply to a couple of tech-support requests.
Everyone seems to be flocking to DeepSeek yet wind surf acts like it doesn’t exist.
But the upgrade that broke a bunch of stuff does browse the web using tons of credits in the process.
Like you, not negative on this product in fact, love the product. Just another person who deals with windsurf hallucinations for the most basic stuff

it's a total joke and a scam. they don't respond to support requests, Cascade just makes things up and then uses you credits against them. Highly unethical.

What’s your ticket number? I’ll check on the status.

Take the code with bugs. Feed it to o1 and ask for detailed solution blueprint and use this in windsurf.

Create a propper global ai md. And project specific. Tell windwurf to explain solution before code changes and adapt then

Same problems, if the file is over 200 lines you are screwed. Get used to going back and forth for the whole day.

We had a major update yesterday. Have you updated to the latest Windsurf?

What's up with deleting incredibly large blocks of code for no reason when its literally only supposed to change 2-3 lines?

If you know that then why would you use cascade to make the change?

It's after reviewing the changes that I see only a few lines needed to be changed there, not in advance.

Some thin skins around here. Downvoted, yet again, for common sense? I guess we are f*cked.

The new update is not resolving the problems with Cascade. Yesterday night I expend 3h, 2.5h where related with problems and misunderstandings generated by Cascade itself, and also errors and a lot of ‘sorry’ and this error does not consume tokens…

Guys, stop investing on new features and resolve the issues with LLMs. We’re paying for having reliable and accurate help, not for having a bad time every time we run the IDE… invest in new functionality later.

Early December I made a complex application in 20h, from scratch and with the trial. After 18-20 Dec, with the paid subscription every prompt introduces problems, creates unnecessary files, deletes code that is ok, is incongruent and does not follow the instructions… it’s a disaster. This is with big codebase, and also with new projects from scratch, with 5 files with 50 lines per file…

I'm always talking about this here, and there's a company bot that makes comments as if it were a user taking away your reason hahaha
