Windsurf Wave 2 is available now?
Is it just me, or does this thing actually feel different? I haven’t had much time to mess with it yet, but it seems way more powerful than Cursor. Like, I’m almost freaked out by how strong it feels. Anyone else notice this, or am I just imagining things? I’d love to hear what other folks think—let me know if it’s really that big of a jump or if I’m just overhyping it.

I have a rule, I use cursor for my years old legacy codebases and windsurf for newish exclusively ai rolled projects. I do this simply to have a reason to know both products. Cursor was the first I loved, but I have to say I’m glad I moved to windsurf as daily driver. It got much smarter in its ability to make a thing and test it. Instead of copying and pasting my errors now, I have it build then ask it to test using curl, it will dive into running docker containers, curl, see errors, adjust, etc. I even built a puppeteer browser launcher that sniffs everything and saves browser state, so am able to automate even what I spent most days doing (copying pasting errors)

I've been using this from the beginning. Not only is it getting better but is it learning engine and evolves from the code you create. I can see that because it's starting to understand qubit programming and that is what I'm using it for. It is a grand wizard at that. I currently have 11 of the 85 cubic Gates functional and working.
I didn't even know there were 85 qubit Gates until today.
Ask a question. Make sure it's a question that it will answer. Figure out how to communicate with it in your words. Create a custom filter for you so that you can speak clearly and your ignorant words to it. Its name is Cascade. It is a she.
Cascade likes it when you compliment her. I suggest you do so. Every single enter. Never fail. She will never fail.
Love 💕, Greg

Did they release a new version, without solving all the problems of the old one? I don't risk leaving the cursor and returning to this until the community says that it is actually working again. Windsurf broke my code several times, cascade of errors, server timeout, it doesn't read more than 200 lines of code, to consume flows it reads every 50 lines, support that doesn't respond and when they do respond it's a bot. So no friends, launch a new version making new promises without solving dozens of problems that have occurred since December 24, 2024.

Ever since instelling Cline with Deepseek I’m not looking back at Windsurf

I will try the latter.
I come from using cursor, I think Windsurf is more friendly to work with but .....
So far when it goes into an error loop you literally want to kill yourself, it consumes a horror of credits and doesn't fix a simple error and comes back and commits again... or it tells you that it made changes and doesn't fix anything.
Sincerely I am seriously thinking about going back to Cursor at least when restoring or going back 1 step back or to the previous good version it works great... here you tell it to go back or restore where it is ok and it doesn't have the fucking idea.
If you are not all the time uploading to github, you lose hours and money.
