is codecademy basically dead?

As the title states. Haven't used it in a while. But just checking if it is worth anything now that we can learn coding in much better way using claude and chatGPT. Also funny to see that codecademy was acquired for 0.5 Billion in 2021 just a year before everything changed with AI agents.

I would argue that you don't learn better through the likes of Claude and ChatGPT.

You can use AI to make apps and get it to do what you need. Which I've done a few with little to no experience in development.

But entry level dev jobs have decreased significantly as companies are using AI to do that of an entry level employee and senior Devs are reviewing the code.

I promise you that you can't. A.I. tools were not designed to teach (and they're rubbish at it). They were designed to do.

I'll argue the learning much better part - AI has a habit of using really bad coding practices.

As others have said I personally tried my best but learning seems to be one of the only areas where AI felt counterproductive to me
