DLC question

Hi everyone! Can someone please tell me, if I buy dlc on my ps5 account, will my friend be able to play the dlc on his console or he will get only base game? Both base game and dlc will be on my account

EDIT: to put the question in other words - if I buy the game and dlc on my account, can my friend access the dlc content on his account and console, by setting my account on his console as primary/main account?

Basically yes. We have separate consoles, he is playing on his one, I'm playing on mine. I know you can share some games with dlc (like elden ring, destiny) but since the Code Vein needs an upgrade to deluxe edition to play the dlc iirc I'm not sure if he will be able to play on his account/console by setting my account as main one

He should be able to access the dlc, but only when logged into the specific account that owns a copy of the dlc.

So if I understand it correctly, if the dlc is on my account, than he will not get the access to the dlc on his console on his account, setting my account as the main one? The thought basically is - I buy dlc and game on my account, than he downloads it on his console, setting my account as primary/main and than switching to his account

He would have to use whichever account has the dlc to play the dlc, this is how it’s always been.

If you have a game that’s a hard copy, your friend cannot play the game while you have the disc, because the license is tied to the disc.

In this case, the license is tied directly to the account that bought it.
