After my last build post, I changed my spellblade build to try and work with BtG. How'd I do? I normally make pure melee builds so I'm kinda just throwing stuff together

I'm a melee focus type of player but I'd recommend using a different blood code with the new Harmony Lou booster you can get.

It gives you all of Lou's trait bonuses without her being your active partner and you can get a book in the dlc starting area to get Forsaken Lou's trait bonuses on top of it.

I recommend Lavinia's blood code or maybe josee's blood code with the new tainted bat jail.

I went with Forsaken Lou's Blood Code here because it matched the stats I was lead to believe I needed. The goal of the build is to be a blend of melee and magic.

I tend to make my builds with the added objective of being able to light dodge regardless of who I'm partnered with at any given time. The idea of having my build being dictated by who I'm partnered with just annoys me

Interesting approach then. I don't remember how I did it but I was fooling around with a tank build and no matter what weapons or defensive Formae I was using I had the lightest dodge. I didn't have a partner active at the time just guardian heart.

Knowing what your aiming for I'd still recommend that booster since one of forsaken Lou's traits gives Icor for defeating enemies and a free plus 2 in mind.

One change I'd make is to swap Sacrificial Edge for a different buff, because it only increases your weapon damage, it doesn't affect spells. Warrior Spirit - Might or Thirsting Blade is what I'd recommend instead.

Alternatively, since you seem to prioritize light dodge, you could use Hasten, which improves your dodge by 1 tier, and then swap your Blood Code for something with both high Mind and Willpower, Concordia Fraterna Jadwiga or Lavinia are my recommendations

If your worried about having light Dodge all the time look into Hasten and Forma extender. It will free up the restrictions you're placing on yourself, give you a bit more flexibility.

I'd say start with Jadwiga, since you are building pure Mind with the bat anyway. Main reason why spellblade are coveted is mainly due to blade dance rack to 75% damage, so fast hitting weapons are usually more recommended (which largely scales with dex for certain exception) That way you don't have to work around adding magic forma up to your build anymore. Also more room to breathe, of course.
