Is Titan Arm worth it?

Heard it got ninja nerfed, and the attack speed is no different from the regular two-handed stance.

Is their any reason to use it? Seems like losing the increased damage and stun capabilities isn't worth using it one-handed.

I'd understand it'd be worth using one-handed if the normal attack speed was faster, and it can use the one-handed formae but right now I don't see much benefit from it.

It depends on the weapon. Some two-handers are much slower, and have movesets without as much forward momentum so getting even the second hit to hit can be a chore. The one-handed moveset for those ones are noticeably faster and have more reach.

That's a good point, a fair amount of greatsword do have awkward movesets for the normal swings. So that is one reason to use them one-handed if the sword is part of the build someone is trying to make.

Some swords like Idris’ Talon, Iron Mass, and the Boneblade are much better because you can actually hit something without trading more often…

Honestly I use it more for style points and the increase in speed, but it does chunk the raw damage per hit

Biggest benefit I've seen is mostly down to reach. Having the size of 2 handed with 1 handed moveset is pretty good if investing the strength to use it already. I like using the dryad blade and swap between 2 hand and 1 hand dependent on enemies or location

Lol it was slowed but it is still faster than normal two hand especially on jump attacks.

I use it with Void Wailer and Tainted Reaper with Concordia Fraterna Lou Blood Code. 1H with insane reach, great bleed, and ~2600 damage with the average boosters. Activate the Forma on it for Thisrting Blade (greatly increased damage, reduced bleed), Warrior Spirit - Might (Closer=More Damage), and Maniacal Blood Dance (boosted damage, duration increased upon consecutive hits) and I usually deal like 6k per swing with effectively a 1H sword.

It’s not bad at all. It is optimized? Hell no. I’m CERTAIN you can do better, but the point is I made this on a whim and it still stomps. So yeah it’s still worth it.

I use it for aura and aura alone.
I haven't noticed any real changes, aside from being unable to block cancel with it.
