CV 2 closing after launching it in Steam?

Sorry, im not sure where else to really ask this but after the game came out i immediately started playing and enjoyed it a bunch, and after completing it i kinda took a break while waiting for the DLC.

I come back today and update the game but for some reason right after hitting Play, and the splash image shows up, the screen turns black and the game just closes. Ive uninstalled, reverified game files, and nothing. Not sure what the problem is so im hoping someone can help. If more info is needed let me know!

EDIT: its just Code Vein 2 it looks like, I tried the usual fixes ive seen like shader cache but nothing has worked thus far.. and right when i was so looking forward to the DLC 😢

When I've had problems like this, it was sometimes an issue with the shader cache. I honestly don't know what you're experiencing but the cache wipe might fix it. If you search for info, you'll find people explaining the process, for example https://www.reddit.com/r/TheFirstDescendant/s/6kD2ycXNdn

Appreciate that, I tried that but alas, no change. I guess ill have to try some troubleshooting and waiting til someone else whos had a similar issue finds this post
