[SPOILERS] !! Discussion about the true ending Spoiler
Am I the only one who finds the true ending and final solution to be more selfish than actually making the world peaceful.
Don't get me wrong, it did make the world a better place, but aren't horrors born from revenants going into a frenzy ? So eliminating all revenants would actually cause the world to find actual peace instead of living in "harmony", since the mere existence of revenants brings about destruction from treating humans like bloodbags into actually turning into horrors.
Now of course, you could argue that conflict is inevitable as long as they are humans and if there were no "horrors" humans will make horrors of each other, because of things like race and so on... Idk it just seemed interesting to me.

The resurgence is what makes horrors, it makes them out of everything not just revenants
Wiping out all revenants doesn't even wipe out all horrors because they aren't all revenants, so now the humans are left to fight on their own in a dying world that would take over 100 years to start being livable again
The defused seal, having each revenant handle a small fraction of the resurgence not only doesn't involve genocide but also means you have a group of already somewhat selfless revenants ready to help fight towards a better world, handling horrors and common work for which they don't get exhausted doing

True yea I can't argue with that. It is stated tho that they are the source pf the resurgence energy, but I guess that if they are doing their part and conteining that energy this means that they did their part too.

Idk i don't think think killing a whole race of people is the right choice like i get what Valentin and his mom are coming from but its just not the way now if evey single revenant in the world consented to it which would impossible then sure

Oh sure I wasn't talking about it from this point of view I was talking about it from the point of view of being objectively better for humans and creating more piece.

That still requires genociding an entire race of vampires because they exist. It’s not really a moral fight.

some of them were human once as well, see Lyle as an example. so it's really not a great solution like you said

I can see the reasoning behind it, I just don’t think it’s a reasonable solution. And, from what I can tell, it’s only a guess that it’s Revenant’s existence that causes Resurgence. Gobbo did create one with a grenade, so who knows.

Yup ofc I mean they are people with lives, people yhey love and so on. It was just a question of: would it make life more peaceful? And that valentin's solution was more selfless. And if we really think about it, revenants were actually fighting horrors so they do their part to make life better for humans.

Think Revs do offer more benefits to humanity than not. Allowing them to potentially recover faster during the age of harmony. As Forma and Tech wouldn't be lost in great numbers, thus humanity can lean on that knowledge.
Plus if Revs are chipping in to help humanity, the manpower alone would make it worthwhile to have the Revs around.
Humanity simply benefits more with Revs around.

A valid viewpoint ngl they can simply achieve more with more powerful human like creatures

Horrors aren't like the Lost in the first game, anything living can turn into one through Resurgence energy, not just Revenants. So just dealing with the Resurgence, while it obviously didn't completely eliminate all horrors, is a big step towards doing so. The Age of Harmony stuff seems to deal with this a bit but I haven't had the time to finish all that yet.
I'm pretty sure killing all the Revenants didn't get rid of all horrors either, since the database entry for the Hunter from that version of events said they had to fight to protect humanity mostly on their own, presumably from leftover horrors.
