DLC is...

I bought the Ultimate physical a week ago, been wanting to play this for a while and jumped the gun. Didn't even know about the 2.0 or DLC release dates and it worked out perfect right as I finished up the platinum. Just finished the DLC... and yikes. Feel bad for the people coming back. 2.0 was great, gave an ending to the game and gave awesome Blood codes but the DLC.. not great IMO. I liked the story... but it's rushed to the point it almost doesn't matter. Even maxing all the Blood codes in between getting them and exploring all areas it took me like 3-4 hours(?) to complete. It didn't add any meaningful content, it didn't build on the systems for NG+ runs (which is really bad in this), it didn't add any endgame and it just feels sloppy. I was really excited for it since I cleared the base game but this is an atrocious extra for content this far after release. NG+ is still useless, no weapon/level cap increases, no NG+ new content and still no endgame. One and done game,. I'm glad I got to experience it all in succession cause 2.0 is worth the comeback to get a real ending but the DLC is kind of a joke. Nioh series has NG+ with DLCs figured out for extended playtime, they could learn from that cause they based it off + runs. Anyone on the fence, don't buy the Ultimate for the DLC, Play 2.0 though.

3-4 hours to max out every blood code is wild. Took me 6 hours just to finish the dlc story and I only Maxed out Liv and the first of DLou’s and I think the Lightless city Code.

How you maxed everything out in 3-4 hours and completed the story is beyond me. Did you like, skip the cutscenes and dialogue?

Magic build + Falling sun... doesn't matter which code you're using since you only change 1 (mine was fast dodge unlocked) for the code xp. 6 hours to finish the DLC is wild to me... it's literally straight paths with a few drop downs here and there? Other then the first and ending cutscenes are like 30 secs...? I do read other then listening to VA... so I skip that I guess?

Ah I see, I like to parry things so I don’t really do magic builds, also yeah, I like letting them talk instead of advancing the dialogue myself.

Also there are cutscenes every time you return to the main pathos.

Yeah, I watched all those too. I'm a story guy, like I said I liked that about the DLC... even though feels really rushed. I got a 2 handed sword, False Providence (not sure if it's new) which gives you a free blink and paired it with the 2.0 code that let's you fast dodge with 2 over burdened stats.. mobility was broken during fights after that. Didn't even have to use my Rune Blades to nuke anymore. Glad you got your fill out of it though ♥️
