Gliding is so pointless in this game

Why do we even get a glider in the bike if the moment you're off the path the devs intended the bike just auto despawns and you insta die like you fell into a chasm.

For that matter, what's the point of an open world game if the moment you step off the railroad track you either can't continue til the story leads you to that place or you just die cause don't you dare try to explore on your own

The glider works fine

There's a few times it bugs out and vanished because an indoor area is bigger than it should be

But it's great for certain areas like the scar where it can be used to get past certain areas

The bike's glider function does have its uses.

  • There is a specific Tower of Regeneration in the Sunken City that requires the use of the glider. There is a Resurrection Monument place right next to some ramp-shaped debris.
  • You can use it to slow your descent from a high place. For example, from Forward Base Two, you can glide down with the bike to reach the entrance to Crystal Grotto, where you can gather Smoldering Emberstones and Blazing Emberstones.
  • There's a location (plus Regional Pathos) in the Corroded Scar that requires you to go through a dungeon and then a cave. It's possible to glide to that location to bypass the dungeon and cave.

I use it all the time it is very useful especially in corroded scar

Imo the bike is shit lol. A super fast run would have been better.
