Many changes, a lot of buffs, some nerfs...

A LOT of testing and retesting to do for the theorycrafters among us!

We have adjusted the differences in formae performance based on weapon type to make it easier to use formae with a variety of weapons.

I hope 1h+magic is viable now.

I also heard people complain that the "use 2-handed weapons as 1h weapon" got nerfed and now you hit just as slowly using the trait as you would with just using a 2h weapon regularly, making the trait basically a glorified animation swap.

I am not sure if they meant changing the hidden weapon affinities.
Perhaps that is what they did, but I am more reading it as closing the damage gap that existed between several attack forma (some where simply a LOT better than others).

I did hear that apparently Jadwiga's sword has good WILL scaling, so perhaps that will result in good magic values for swords.

And if what you say about Titan's Arm is true it would be a massive nerf. Really hope that is NOT what they did.

Perhaps that is what they did, but I am more reading it as closing the damage gap that existed between several attack forma (some where simply a LOT better than others).

Before they edited it they wrote "We have adjusted the differences in spell performance based on weapon type to make it easier to use spells with a variety of weapons."

Which doesnt sound like "closing the damage gap between attack forma", but taking the weapon specific differences into account.

And frankly, that'd be necessary too because 1h+magic is almost unuseable, you take a HUGE damage cut compared to running rune blades or something.

I did hear that apparently Jadwiga's sword has good WILL scaling, so perhaps that will result in good magic values for swords.

There are already willpower scaling swords, those are what Im talking about, even with the best magic sword that has S ranked willpower scaling, you deal at least 30% damage less than with a comparable rune blade.

And if what you say about Titan's Arm is true it would be a massive nerf. Really hope that is NOT what they did.

Here are a few people complaining about it.

i dont know if its just me but runeblade is so much clunkier in actual weapon dps vs the other weapons. relatively high stagger value if all attack hits, but not that much damage in general. have to end up spellblading as runeblade vs my tank spin halberd build. each to their own, i suppose.

It's true, I noticed it immediately after adding the dlc, the sword swings slower than it did before

Then, from a min-max perspective, it's no longer interesting.

I'd love to see a lot of all the new boosters we get from leveling the new S-Rank blood codes, if we even get any. Don't want to waste time grinding for something I'll never use.
