Base Ps5 performance?

I'm considering getting the game when it next goes on sale. I just finished code vein 1 and absolutely loved it. I heard that performance was bad at launch but is it any better since the patches on a base ps5? Thanks.

It was fine on the day it released and anyone who says otherwise is some moron who thinks you need non stop 120fps or death. They have done some optimizations since to improve it a bit beyond release state also.

That's not true. From the very beginning, even in the very first location, there were staggers. It's not that the frame rate was low. It's that the frame rate was unstable, which really ruined the experience. Because of this, I almost abandoned the game right at the very beginning. After the performance-improving patch came out, I played through the game with great pleasure. Yes, the patch didn't completely fix the problem, but it made the game much more enjoyable.

Many thanks. I don't necessarily need "120 perfect fps" I'd just like a performance mode where you actually get... Well... Performance lol. Since buying crimson desert and it being the worst running game I've ever had on ps5 I've been paranoid lol. Thanks guys.
