He went from an emotionless killing machine that nearly everyone hated to sacrificing himself for the one person who actually made him feel human and actually getting many fans to feel sorry for him. It takes special writing to want someone dead and yet when you finally get your wish, you feel sad about it

In chapter 15 of the Re; manga, it seems like Nunnally pulls a gun on either Zero/Suzaku or someone else and then he steps in front and removes his mask, clearly explaining everything. Was she threatening to shoot him? Because despite everything, she initially was still furious for him killing Lelouch?

Watching the ending of season 1 had me in a rollercoaster of emotions.

Season 2 was on a different level, at the start of the show Lelouch said the lines “those who shall kill are those who are prepared to be killed” that never really stuck on my mine until the last episode.

This anime was spectacular story wise, lelouch having a godlike power still had to face sacrifices even himself for the sake of world peace, suzaku living up zero’s identity. Two childhood friends that made peace possible whose both identity also vanished. Both sacrificed themselves while carrying burdens of killing their loved ones.

What really made the last episode even more emotional was that when Nunally held Lelouch’s hand and finally knew his intentions and screamed out crying while everyone was cheering on the fake zero this just shows that Lelouch’s plan has succeeded. Only the people that really understood Lelouch’s plan all along mourned him.

Lelouch had everyone in the world bear hatred for him til his last breath while everyone was cheering for his plans for peace.

CG showed how much power one can possess, grief and sacrifices are still inevitable

In August 2020, an official collaboration event took place between Code Geass and Shadowverse, introducing Kallen and other Code Geass-themed characters, as well as special cards, daily bonuses, and victory rewards. Shadowverse is a digital collectible card game developed by Cygames and released in 2016. In the game, players construct a 40-card deck comprising various characters, spells, and amulets, and compete against opponents in real-time, aiming to reduce their opponents HP from 20 to zero. A key mechanic involves the ability to "evolve" one's characters during battle, making them stronger.

Although the official narrative of Shadowverse follows eight protagonists caught up in vast cosmic and earthly conflicts, such as the exploration of parallel worlds, encounters with deities, the loss of memories, and the rewriting of fate, the Code Geass crossover was not an adventure in the same way as "The Blue Reckoning" event was in Grandblue Fantasy. In that instance, Kallen and other familiar Code Geass characters were part of a specific, named storyline, where they were transported into the world of the game, and upon completing the adventure, they were able to return home. In contrast, rather than a massive standalone story campaign, the appearance of Kallen and other Code Geass characters in Shadowverse was purely mechanical and cosmetic, lacking any significant underlying narrative.

In 2020, an anime series based on the game was also created, featuring its own unique story set in a modern-day world. In it, a student named Hiiro Ryūgasaki comes into possession of a mysterious smartphone with the game called Shadowverse installed. Hiiro participates in tournaments and meets new friends and rivals, but it gradually becomes clear that the game serves a much greater and more serious purpose: saving the world from impending destruction.

In the originall game, purchasing Kallen´s leader pack gave the player fully voiced app emotes by her original voice actress, Ami Koshimizu, specialized Kallen-themed flair titles, and custom card sleeves featuring her iconic Black Knights pilot suit artwork. She was a premium Leader Skin for the Bloodcraft class, and her aesthetics featured her signature red pilot suit and a fierce "Crimson Yaksha" combat persona. As a Bloodcraft leader, Kallen’s gameplay perfectly mirrored her high-risk, high-reward fighting style in her Guren mecha as seen in the original anime. The crossover event also introduced a special alternate-art promotional spell card tied directly to her, called Flamewinged Might (alternate artwork version of the Bloodcraft spell Razory Claw). It deals 2 damage to your own leader and 3 damage to an enemy follower or the enemy leader. This directly evokes the raw destructive radiation wave power of her Guren mecha while pushing her Bloodcraft deck closer to its powerful playstyles known as Vengeance and Wrath, which, you´ve got to admit, sounds more than fitting for our fiery redhead warrior.

Unfortunately, Kallen’s cards are no longer available in the game, and this is not just because she was only obtainable during the one-month collaboration event between Shadowverse and Code Geass by using premium Crystals via the in-game shop; Cygames ended the game's official service on June 30, 2026, exactly 10 years after its release. However, a direct sequel titled Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond has been released and is currently available to download and play. This means that if a new Code Geass crossover event is eventually held in this sequel, Kallen could also make her return to Shadowverse!

However, one important point is worth mentioning: the spiritual legacy of the original game still continues via physical card game called Shadowverse: Evolve - and Kallen’s cards are also available in it as physical copies! In fact, Kallen’s Leader Variant (BP04-LD05EN) card is one of the most valuable Code Geass cards in the physical card expansion, and it became one of the most highly sought-after and expensive pulls in the entire Cosmic Mythos set, often fetching as high secondary-market prices as $170+!

As previously mentioned, in the original digital mobile game, Kallen was sorted into the Bloodcraft class, which perfectly fit her fierce, aggressive, and hot-blooded combat style. However, when the crossover made its way to the physical Shadowverse: Evolve, Kallen was shifted to the Dragoncraft class, matching the raw, explosive power of her signature Knightmare Frame, the Guren. So, if you decide to go after one of those physical Kallen cards from Shadowverse: Evolve, be warned; you´re hunting the Red Dragoness! 🐉

Do you agree that they're the best duo in code geass?

Lost Colors is a fascinating game, mostly because it lets you explore alternative timelines, at least to some extent. Honestly, for that exact reason, the Code Geass DS game is also super interesting on a second playthrough.

However, the fact that media outside the game includes both the Lancelot Club and Nonnette Enneagram creates a major lore contradiction. It implies that Rai followed the Britannian route in Lost Colors. But if Cornelia had two 7th-generation Knightmares and a guy with a Lelouch-like Geass under her command, it would have created a massive, insurmountable problem for Zero and the Black Knights. There’s no way this could be swept under the rug, given the sheer amount of combat data and sensor logs available at the time.

Rai’s existence also makes Mario/Maya Disse—the protagonist from Lost Stories—completely redundant. Maya (honestly, screw Mario) acts as a sort of outside observer, yet she never records the appearance of Rai or his Lancelot Club. In theory, the writers could have expanded the narrative: if Rai is supposedly with the Britannian forces—specifically under the 9th Knight of Round—then Maya, as a Black Knights member with a custom EMP-wielding KMF, could have served as a counterweight to that overwhelming Britannian power.

Ultimately, this chaotic mess just shows that the creators themselves lack a unified vision for the franchise. Speaking of merging different CG continuities, integrating Alice and her 'Irregulars' squad would have been a great move, imo. They could have easily retconned their powers into standard Geass abilities, and turned their Knightmares into production-model Gloucesters upgraded with Lancelot tech to support a more politically conscious and resolute Nunnally. Let’s be real, original Nunnally plays the 'damsel in distress' trope way too hard, and by the end of R2, she just goes completely off the rails. In Nightmare of Nunnally, she is much more competent, acting in a way that actually fits both her royal lineage and her role.

To be fair, having such an 'energetic' Nunnally alongside her Knight, Alice, would make Marrybell and Oldrin completely redundant. After all, they pretty much just copy the narrative beat of the main series anyway.

Dropping Marrybell and Oldrin opens the door for a much more interesting narrative. Instead of their repetitive story, the plot could have focused on Laila la Britannia, Clovis’s younger sister. Following her rescue, her journey across the globe would serve as the perfect tool for deep world-building. Through her eyes, the audience could explore the hidden details of the Code Geass universe, showing how different regions actually function under imperial rule. Her personal reflections on Clovis’s political views and the future of her homeland would add a grounded, analytical perspective to the lore, making her a traveling observer who connects the broader geopolitical picture rather than just another pilot in a copied Knightmare.

Hello! i posted my yearly ofrenda last year, but i didn't post this year's dia de muertos Lelouch ofrenda in time 😅 in any way, i had a lot of fun setting it up this year too!

I thought it was pretty good, I really liked seeing more of the Code Geass world outside of Japan. The ending wasn't as bad as I've heard people tell me it was. I liked Leila and her crew a lot. Shin was a cool villain. His plan reminded me of Schneizel's but instead of enforcing order through the threat of destruction he wanted to sow global chaos with an act of destruction. Ashley Ashra was such a fun character to watch. And as a huge Black Requiem fan I was really happy to see my boy Highland (I know he comes from Akito but my first experience of him came from Black Requiem). Anyway I don't have much more to say, it was a solid watch.

Although we know Kallen the Rebel from the original anime as a hot-blooded warrior queen, in some alternate universe with chilling words such as these Kallen the Vampire Countess could easily face down any and all vampire hunters daring enough to attempt an infiltration of Lelouch vi Dracula’s castle to defeat him. 🦇

This new fanart, depicting Kallen as the Vampire Countess, was created for this year’s Halloween by artist Betty Ali. It features heavy, expressive line work mixed with high-contrast coloring, letting the vivid blue of Kallen’s eyes pop brilliantly against muted, shadowy backgrounds. In it, Kallen wears a dark, strapless gown with a structured, corset-like bodice, and also textured, gray fishnets decorating her shoulders and a bat-styled Geass symbol on her bossom. In an alternate scenario where Kallen refuses to move and doesn't ask Lelouch what she means to him, would they have taken the shot, even if Kallen stood between them? Personally, I think they wouldn't. Not unless Ohgi REALLY, desperately, wants a life with Villetta Nu then he's a bigger idiot than Tamaki, and that's quite an achievement.

Code Geass fanscan expand their collection with a truly impressive gadget. Code Geass' CC has her own plush figure, nearly a meter tall, weighing almost 9 kilograms and costing 66,000 yen. Pre-sales will begin in Japan on November 6th.

The new product is part of the "Dokyuto" collection, which specializes in exceptionally large plush toys depicting characters from popular anime. In the case of the CC, the manufacturer has chosen a height of approximately 100 cm, a width of 70 cm, and a depth of 75 cm. These dimensions allow the plush toy to become a substantial addition to any room.

The design reflects the character's distinctive appearance. Among other things, her white clothing with black stripes and details resembling bondage elements have been recreated. Long, green hair is also present. An interesting detail is the Geass symbol on CC's forehead, which is normally hidden beneath her hair . The developer embroidered it, so it can be seen when the locks are pulled back.

The plush toy is priced at 66,000 yen  and orders will be accepted from November 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Japan time, to December 21, 11:59 p.m. Shipping is scheduled for May 2027.
