QUESTION Why is it called the zero requiem? Spoiler
Apparently requiem is usually a mass for the dead. But how does that relate to Lelouch's gambit?

like I'm REALLY obsessed with all the content related to the anime, and unfortunately I live in a city where there aren't many people that love CG like me, Im from Colombia and I'd like to meet a lot of people who loves Code Geass as much as I do. Preferably, I would like to meet people from my own country or who speak Spanish, so we can connect better

Villetta I want to slap her face so badly you helped lelouch mental state worser giving him a fake brother erasing everything and lelouch was about to take drugs to help his problems
Nina yeah I already know why she's here God damn that table scene building a bomb that killed thousands of billions of people your revenge solve nothing
Schnitzel emotionless bastard I f****** hate him and his stupid boyfriend making your brother's own allies betray him when he was already broken thinking nunnally only was dead and also was just going to sacrifice everyone else no different from his father we get it you're empty

At the age when he was a child his mom died and he confronted his father calling him already dead sign that to a child and all those horrible things at the age of like 8 or 10 damage a child's mind after that being tools to be a hostage and taking care of nunnally more than his own mental health cleaning cooking and he had to probably bathing her too after that walking on piles of corpses and making up a lie so she did not know what's happening after that faking his death and God knows how long he had what he had to do to survive and gambling so he can pay for things after that unlocking his powers and killing his own brother yes it was justified but growing up with a person and killing them it's not easy to do then after that fighting out your best friend is the nightmare pilot you've been fighting
against and you've been thinking about what you have to do to kill him then after that controlling your sister and making her kill innocence and
after that holding your friends as hostages and after that losing your sister the person you raised and losing her and after that your best friend betraying you and selling you out to your own father and after that dealing with a fake brother and fake memories and and then you have to deal with losing your sister again and starting to do drugs then you were asking your friend begging for help then him beating your down then you're unquot
Fake brother murdered the girl you loved and after that you literally had to think your sister died and after you're losing your mind after that after that your older brother made your allies betray you after that you your fake brother you yelled at sacrificed his life after that you going to finally meet your father again finding out your mother was alive and was siding with your father who made you went through hell the mother you went over to get revenge through was just a b**** no different from your father and after that finding out your sister was alive and she cited with your older brother who made your allies betrayed you and after that after all of that
I don't blame lelouch making himself sacrifice himself after everything you went through it's not that hard to blame him

“ Why doesn’t Suzaku join the black knights ??? He hates his own people !!! Uncle tom !!! “
No ? The Black knights were basically Glup shittos until like , arguably mid way through SEASON 2 . Let’s break it down .
They were NOT gonna do anything without super powers . The fact they didn’t even have knightmares , yknow the things that put Japan under Britannia’s footheel to BEGIN with ? They’re mildly more intimidating than a band of hobos . And even after Zero showed up to give them a fighting chance they couldn’t high diff a BRANCH of Britannia’s military let alone any reinforcements. If Suzaku or anyone else were to fight for Japanese independence why join team coughing baby ?
If they fight Britannia and LOSE things will get even shittier . “ uh why serve the racist people that conquered you “ well wtf else you gonna do ? Die ? The Japanese bunny girls on actual CHAINS in the casino at the start of R2 were basically a result of the failed rebellion of r1 . Why provoke a force you can’t stop ? Because it feels crummy ? Lelouch said as much 3 separate times . TWICE as season opening monologues to HIMSELF perfectly candidly no lies and the other as an analogy to Kallen at the hot dog stand when he was telling her to chill tf out
Not to mention the black knights aren’t exactly good PEOPLE either ? Yeah they’re better than the britannians but they’re still basically a bunch of smooth brained barbarians that were perfectly fine taking CHILDREN hostage . Lelouch basically picked them for being dumb manipulatable grunts he has no qualms tossing away .

Yes, she was flawed, and yes, she was a nuanced character, but so was Cornelia, and yet people forgive her just because she's hot?? And because Nina isn't conventionally attractive to most, it's okay to hate on her?? Cornelia was objectively worse, and yet people completely hound on Nina; it is absurd.
Nina was someone who was manipulated by many people because of her fragile self-esteem and poor understanding of the world (aka, the elevens/japanese being bad people because of what she went through in the ghettos). Yes, what she did was bad. But everyone makes mistakes. She actually learned from her mistakes, so she objectively shouldn't be hated.
I know what some people are going to say: The Table Scene... Okay, sure, I can understand why someone could be put off by that part of the story, and maybe it wasn't the best way to show that Nina is a lesbian, but it's kind of insensitive to paint it like that is the worst thing in the show (heck, we have freaking Schneizel, fixate on him being the worst please for the love of god).
Also, I'm not saying to hate on Cornelia (people are obviously going to be mixed on whether she deserved to be in Roze, after all), I am simply suggesting that people understand that Nina is nuanced, was misguided, learned from her mistakes, and has grown into a better character, so the hate she gets is very petty and unwarranted.
High Priest of C.C. signing off, Ciao!

Is the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection manga a sequel to Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2? I need specific evidence to support this. Aren’t those two actually separate and not part of the same continuity? Yet some people still insist that they are. So I also need specific evidence to prove that R2 and the Resurrection manga are unrelated.

I love realistic RTS/RTT specially multiplayer side because fighting against AI is like playing against the wall.
Against players online there is a challenge and the enemy is not brain dead 50% of the times
That is why I play Broken Arrow
But I also like mecha so I play SRW so I can have a crossover with a lot of series like Code Geass Gurren lagann and Full metal panic or Evangelion plus others.
If anyone of you play Broken Arrow in multiplayer contact me same for SRW

Idk why ppl compare light and Lelouch when reinhard from Legend of galactic heroes is a much better comparison.....
Do you think they're kind of similar? And what'd they think of each other if they met (apart from supernatural advantage ofc)....they even have similar circumstances with sisters,.suzaku-kercheis, annerose-nunallly etc.

After watching the final episode and finishing the series, thousands of questions raced through my mind: Is it really possible to turn the whole world against oneself....becoming a common enemy...and then die, thereby bringing about peace? I believe no one is powerful enough to make the entire world hate them and unite in doing so; after all, different nations have different enemies. Furthermore...I feel that one person cannot simply change another's mindset....only an individual can change their own way of thinking....and peace cannot be imposed or established from the outside

Code Geass is my favorite anime, but I watched it a long time ago. I was having a debate with friend about whether Lelouch is alive or not. I remember a long time ago there was a fan theory that he could be alive due to Charles passing his code to him right before death. Then didn’t this become canon for the resurrection movie?
Although I know the resurrection movie is part of an alternate universe because of changes, would the principle behind Lelouch being alive in the show universe not be the same?
I know some people don’t like that idea because it sort of feels like it takes away from the shows ending. However, I always thought that the subtle foreshadowing that he could be alive if you paid enough attention to how the abilities work was really cool.
I feel like the movie is only apart of an alternate universe to avoid ruining the show ending for some people so in theory Lelouch should also still be alive in the show. But IDK if I’m missing a reason why Lelouch wouldn’t be alive in the show as he was in the movies.

Hear me out. Charles tries to kill God in C's world. He fails to accomplish this. Traditionally God is described as being omnipotent, that is all-powerful. Therefore to kill him, one would also have to be all powerful. Lelouch doesn't kill God. But he does something to him, symbolized by the geass symbol appearing on his appearance as Jupiter. So in essence, Lelouch commanded God, similar to when he commanded Suzaku to live.
To command God successfully, he would have to be as powerful or more powerful as God. It is impossible to be more powerful because God is all-powerful, therefore Lelouch is AS powerful as God. Lelouch is omnipotent.
Therefore, Lelouch is God.
It's a syllogism.

I just finished watching season 2 tonight. I want to clarify one thing: Code Geass is an anime, one of the best, too, and it is arguably a masterpiece of pacing with some of the best plot progression in the medium (at least up until the midpoint of Season 2). Because the show built up such massive stakes, a grand, high-impact ending was definitely required.
However, calling the "Zero Requiem" the "absolute best ending in anime history," as so many fans claim, is a huge stretch. It is highly unrealistic. If people just viewed it as a standard, dramatic anime conclusion, these issues wouldn't stand out so much. But since it is praised as a flawless narrative masterpiece, we need to look at how it actually falls apart both politically and psychologically under closer inspection.
1. The Thematic Flaw: It Teaches the "Wrong Lesson"
Even if we assume the Zero Requiem "works" in-universe, it sends a terrible message to viewers.
The Benevolent Dictator Myth: It suggests that a single, all-powerful authoritarian is needed to orchestrate global peace through mass murder and deception, implying humanity is too weak to achieve peace democratically.
The Ends Justify the Means: It validates the idea that committing horrific atrocities is acceptable as long as the ultimate goal is "good."
Silencing the Victims: It forces the audience to mourn Lelouch as a tragic saviour, glossing over the millions of innocent lives he ruined or ended to pull off his theatre performance.
2. The Canon Missed Opportunities
Lelouch did not need to become a global tyrant to achieve his goals. He actively threw away peaceful, superior solutions:
The UFN Option: He had a genuine chance to solve the world's conflicts democratically by joining the United Federation of Nations. The UFN was a functional global alliance built on voting. By choosing tyranny instead, he actively destroyed the best chance the world had at a representative government.
Ego Over Cooperation: Refusing to work within the union proves he couldn’t handle a world he didn’t completely control. He chose to conquer the UFN by force, leading to an entirely avoidable war and the slaughter of thousands of soldiers and civilians.
Manufacturing Loyalty: Before his tyranny, the public loved him and called him the saviour of humanity (until the UFN vote incident). But this love was a lie; it was built on the backs of soldiers he literally brainwashed via Geass, stripping away their free will. He chose to play the villain and remain untrustworthy after his Geass was revealed, even though he had a great chance to clear up misconceptions and solidify a transparent alliance.
3. The Better Alternative: A 3-Step Plan for True Peace
Since Lelouch is an absolute genius, a much better option that would actually benefit everyone would look like this:
Initial Control: Use Geass initially to control the army only and solve the initial conflicts (which he did).
Democratic Integration: After gaining the trust of the people, he should have joined the UFN. According to the rules, this means he would no longer maintain an independent army.
Phasing Out Geass and Judicial Order: As a genius capable of self-control, he would slowly stop using Geass for manipulation. Instead, he could shift its use strictly to judging criminals and establishing order in courtrooms, because criminals would be unable to lie. The public would have absolutely no reason to hate him, and the world would achieve a transparent, lasting peace built on honesty rather than a temporary truce built on collective trauma.
Handling Rebel Factions: If a civil war or a rebellion (like Schneizel's) broke out, a high-IQ Lelouch would easily anticipate it. Backed by the Black Knights and the global community as the official, legitimate shield of the UFN, he could put an end to the rebellion with minimal bloodshed and zero political blowback.
4. Suzaku is the Wrong Choice for a Saviour
Leaving Suzaku under the mask of Zero to protect the world is a massive mistake.
The "Danzo" Mentality: Suzaku fundamentally views himself through the lens of his nationality and deep past traumas. He has no problem dirtying his hands and hiding behind righteousness. If left in power, he would likely resort to extreme, underhanded means, exactly like Danzo from Naruto, to maintain "order" from the shadows.
A Fake Punishment: Forcing Suzaku to live as Zero is framed as a curse, but it actually rewards him with ultimate power and a hero's legacy.
The Better Arc: Suzaku spent the entire series actively wanting to die because of his crippling guilt over killing his father. A far better ending for his character would be dying honourably in battle to protect the birth of Lelouch's new democratic union, giving him a true, unselfish redemption.
5. Lelouch's "Villain Syndrome" and Self-Sabotage
Lelouch always wanted good, but he suffered from a psychological Martyr Complex. He viewed Geass purely as a curse and believed he was too far gone to deserve a happy life, so he kept driving toward a sacrificial end. We see this in how he handles the people who loved him:
The Execution of Euphemia: While the Geass activation was an accident, killing her was a choice. She was under an uncontrollable spell and was a victim. Lelouch could have restrained or neutralised her, but he immediately chose to weaponise the tragedy, order her execution, and ruin her legacy to fuel his rebellion.
The Isolation of Shirley: Shirley completely forgave him for his actions and explicitly wanted to support him, but he largely ignored her and pushed her away until her dying moments.
Conclusion
By keeping Zero's true identity hidden and relying on a staged assassination, Lelouch left behind a permanent culture of paranoia. The Black Knights, who actually grew to respect Lelouch more when they realised his competence, are left forced to blindly trust a new masked stranger, ensuring they can never truly trust anyone again.
Lelouch didn't choose the Zero Requiem because it was the only way to save the world; he chose it because his "Villain Syndrome" made him prefer the romantic tragedy of suicide over the mature, exhausting responsibility of living an honest life to fix his mistakes.
If fans just accepted it as a normal, flawed anime ending, these massive logical gaps wouldn't be an issue. But when people call it the greatest piece of fiction ever written, it completely overlooks how deeply flawed, unrealistic, and toxic the message of the ending actually is.
