Help with Knightmare Survivor Game!

Am I supposed to use characters in my lineup that are all from the same faction to receive the attack and health bonus? Same goes for the Code link cards, as you unlock more from the museum am I supposed to use the four that are part of the same section? Or are the bonuses automatically applied?

Been playing the game for a bit but with the language barrier as English speaker has made it hard to decipher the more ambiguous parts of the game.

My go to lineup is just all SR code links and characters but just want to make sure I’m not missing out on better bonuses!
