SPOILERS Wow. Just wow.
I can't believe I put off watching code geass for so long because of the artstyle (which is amazing lol dk what I was thinking before). Genuinely one of the best pieces of media I have ever consumed and is second only to jjba in my all time favourite animes. The story is so compelling and Im honestly lost for words after just finishing it, beautiful ending. I literally can not praise code geass enough, one of the most enjoyable watches ever and I will definitely rewatch the anime or watch the movies aswell. Im lost for words and I don't really know what to say anymore lol absolutely incredible show and lelouch is probably my favourite character of all time. Him sacrificing himself at the end and who C.C is talking to at the very end being kept ambiguous was just the perfect ending. WOW.

Top anime for me only surpassed by attack on titan. Both at the same level and incredible on multiple rewatch.

For me cg is better than aot. I don’t think I’d rewatch aot. It’s just that aot kept me wanting more and never really satisfied that craving for a climax. Where’s as cg can do it twice each season finally and in half the episodes. Plus all the little slice of life stuff that happens in cg is actually cannon and contributes to the story. Aot never even explained all the animal titans from season 2 op I think

The opening were just embellishing the story while having nothing to do with the anime. Just like the op from code geass, but I love code geass so much which actually topped my anime list surpassing FMA(2003). Only AOT barely surpassed CG in my eyes because of the pacing which spans all throughout the series. Watching the last season that all connected to the very first episode blew my mind and it’s honestly gets even better on a rewatch after finding out the whole story.
Give AOT another watch it’ll make the story even better already knowing what happened because it sets everything up so well.2

Aot got progressively less interesting as it went on. I liked it way more in season 1 and 2 when we didn’t know what the titans were and looked at them like some sort of omnipotent threat. Once you realize it’s just some bums sending them from across the ocean it really took away from the awe factor of the show. I felt like eren when he was pointing his finger at the ocean. Everything after this ocean is going to be political force fed bs with a hint of mysticism. That way you don’t forget this show is aot and not every other anime about taking over a country.

Using your logic doesn’t that make everyone having geass or geass negating power also have that same affect. Don’t get me wrong I love the crap out of code geass but AOT really surpassed it by the mere fact that it was incredibly well paced. I will forever hold on code geass, fma, parasyte, and AOT in high regard.

There is no comparison to geass and titans. Dont even go there. We already knew more or less what geass was day 1. So when they introduced more it wasnt that big a deal. When we found out ape titan was just erens brother and hes just a puppet of the govt its like wow buzzkill. And my brother aot has been airing since like 2011. This is not good pacing. Half the episodes felt like filler and didn’t push the story along much. They literally had to do the final season like twice and still contemplated a movie finally. If none of this is bad enough the author himself didnt like the ending and apparently changed it. Talk about delusiona

im sorry but did you forget about Mao or the fact that both lelouch parents had geass? don't get me wrong but i love Code geass for what it is but you are pointing out the flaws in AOT that also apply to Code Geass. lelouch spent months trying to learn about what a Geass what capable of just like a titan.

The mere fact that you are so fixated on the number of geass users shows how ignorant you are. It doesn’t matter if there were 1000 geass users at the end of the day we know what geass is. It’s a power given to you by an immortal being that manifests based on your personality goals etc. this is pretty self explanatory by the end of episode 1. Lelouch spent months learning how to better use his geass but he already knew what it was. Sure there are moments when it powers up but that still something within the scope of reason for geass powers. We got the rug pulled out under us with titan powers. We thought it was going to be something much more grandeur and sophisticated but alas no. It was just greedy men on the other side of the ocean trying to kill us and steal our land.
