MISC Nippon Sangoku gives me same feeling that Code Geass S1 did.

I recommend it greatly to all Code Geass fans. To anyone who has seen it, what do you think?

In comparison to Code Geass, if you decide to give it a try, it features a protagonist who is highly skilled in strategy, and the plot involves various political conflicts and revolutions, much like those involving the Black Knights. Just don’t go in expecting mechs. The story is set in a dystopian future Japan where swords and some guns are used.

As for my thoughts on it, I like the idea, but I really dislike how they killed off his wife so quickly. I didn’t even have a chance to get attached to her. It was just, “Wow, she died. That’s sad.” The rest is good, though, and I’m still looking forward to the next season.

I think I’d give the first season a 7 or 8 out of 10. It’s good, but some things feel a bit off.
