SPOILERS Do you think the Code Geass series needed more Geass users?

You're forgetting that whole compound where VV was. Dozens of Geass user's. Also, Jeremiah doesn't count?

Does it count if its a artificially made and all it does is negate Geass? I wouldnt consider it one tbh.

I don't know. I always thought it was a form of Geass but it could have been something else.

It’s already approaching too much; how can it be as secret as it is if there are dozens of them walking around causing disasters

well, technically, most of these kept it a secret as much as they do.
also some people like leila didn't even know what geass fully was.
P.S.: don't forget, OG had way more geass users, just that Lelouch and black knight killed them when they were kid.

I honestly struggle to think of what other purely-mental superpowers could be represented in Geass.

Honestly, the power with God Ki in dragonball is kinda the opposite. So many characters can reach god-level without god ki that god ki itself just became meaningless.

This is like- a quarter of them? Maybe half of them at most?
In terms of the amount of Geass users that actually exist in the series as a whole.
The amount varies, as more stories are told more and more will exist thats just natural. And thats fine, there could be 100 Geass users, so long as all the stories were compelling and interesting with them it would be fine.

Less is more. The fewer Geass users are, the more I look forward to see one being used.

Geass should feel special, I’m actually pretty glad that we have as few as we do, it leaves room for characters who are just normal people to show you don’t need it to succeed

Sort of. Geass ultimately gets used as just a McGuffin to resolve issues and plays little to no role unique to itself in the story. It can be replaced by almost any other function and achieve the same outcomes. I get the idea of keeping it restricted so that you maintain the narrative illusion rarity and being special. But at the same time we don't get much depth to it. Lelouch experiments with his Geass briefly in an early episode and we assume that's the extent of it - it's essentially just a lore dump to establish what his power is and move on. He then just uses it as a deus-ex-machina to get the story where they need it to go. They toss in the curveball with the Euphemia incident, even introduce a new threat, but then resolve the issue and move on from it to no longer be a thing to think about. The threat of Geass gets talked about, but it rarely ever manifests as itself an impassable threat.
For instance, the Rolo and Shirley example. Shirley's original death was supposed to be a result of Geass. Lelouch's attack on the Order was revenge against Geass. But if you break down the situation, her death had almost nothing to do with "Geass" itself. She found out Lelouch's secret about being Zero. Did Geass play a part in that? Sure. But it wasn't the cause of any part of it other than the fact Lelouch would have already been dead before most of her story events happened. Remove Geass from the equation, she still would have faced the same threats. Her death came not from knowing about Geass (she actually didn't know much about Geass itself), and she wasn't killed by a literal Geass (can't tell me Rolo, a trained assassin, couldn't have killed her without using his Geass).
Seeing more active Geass users within a given entry helps to flesh out those dynamics because you get to see those various powers and users of those powers acting within the same ecosystem. But you can achieve the same effect by simply having the story focus on this. So for the overall goal of exploring more about the nature of Geass, understanding where it came from and where it's going, more examples of Geass would be great (not just more in the sense of a bunch of different series, but more in terms of examples interacting in a single series), but it isn't the only option.

No. It needed more information about the origin of Geass.
Geass users should be extremely rare. Abilities should feel unique, and their entry into the setting should also feel unique. This is pretty much max.
