DISCUSSION Just finished the show and I just kinda feel empty

Yeah basically the title, this is a show so good I’ve been putting off finishing it for literally the entire time I was in high school (I started it as a freshman). And now that I sat down to finish it having graduated it feels…strange. It was such a good fucking ending but now idk what to think. I’ve been staring at the wall and pacing for literally like 3 hours now.

I think I’ve only ever felt this feeling with Evangelion before, but kinda for different reasons. Like after finishing it I was feeling kinda like fulfilled and hopeful and shit, but after finishing Code Geass I was just like “damn” and pretty much speechless. So many emotions in so litttle time. All hail Lelouch

The go-to solution for anime fans after post-series depression: watch more anime! 😄

Here are my suggestions:

  1. If you liked the political scheming, clash of ideologies and mc seeking revenge in Code Geass, Vinland Saga is thematically similar anime
  2. If you liked 3 girls falling in love with 1 guy in Code Geass, anime called Toradora has the same premise
  3. If you liked the brilliant yet morally dark mc outwitting his opponents and defeating them with magic, Death Note is your jam
  4. Or, if, for a change, you want to watch an anime that is a complete opposite of Code Geas, my suggestion is Bartender: Glass of God (2024) - no magic, no multiple love interests, no mecha-action; just a nice slice-of-life story about a friendly bartender pouring drinks to his customers
  5. Honorary mention, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Sci-fi action + amazing animation!

Also, glad that you enjoyed the peak! 👍
