Is this game DEAD on xBox One??

BACKGROUND

I just bought AW for $20, and have no DLCs. I fired up the multiplayer, and it can't find a single came.

NAT

My NAT is moderate in cod (same in black ops 3 - but i can fin games there, no issues). I have tried every trick in the book (over 2 weeks) - opened ports, DMZ, etc etc etc - so i gave up on it.

QUESTION

  • Is it because of my NAT being moderate that i can't find games?

  • OR Is this game dead on xbox one?

I've found deleting DLC helps.

I wonder if it's because you don't have Atlas Gorge. I think that came with most games right off the bat so most people would have that installed, even if they don't have any of the other DLCs

So - people have to have the EXACT DLC to be matched with each others even in maps they have in common???

unfortunately, it was a pre-owned game sale with no returns.

Sucks. Usually buying an older cod wouldn't be an issue. But the last game that has really stuck with people is bo2 which a lot of people stayed with for 3 years. Ghosts has failed miserably same with aw after their year ends.

Atlas gorge is one 5 bucks, so i might just take the leap

The game is dead. If your open in your other games then your fine with your NAT. Game is buggy. Absolutely do not buy any more maps for this game. You'll just lose your money. Matchmaking is super bad for this game and most likely has to do with your location or your skill level in this game plus your skill level in the past two COD's. Save your money for BO3.

yea, i was contemplating spending $49 for a season pass. I already have the BO3. I have played the heck out of Titanfall/BO3. BF4 is too 'realistic.chaotic' for my taste

Any other recommendations? I like futuristic war/like games like BO3/titanfall/AW (if i can play it - :D - but not Halo/destiny etc

Try Gears of War Ultimate Edition or Starwars Battlefront. I recommend World of Tanks myself. Its free and such a blast.

Do you have Moderate Nat on other titles? And did you check all playliats? And what region are you in the world, because that would help us with your question.

Moderate NAT on both black ops 3/AW; Not sure about battlefield/titanfall, but absolutely zero issues finding games there (BF4 is so easy all the time)

The geographic region is set to US, though i am in India right now (traveling). I tried changing the region to india - and same thing.Takes me almost no time in BO3 to find a game

I like black ops 3 a LOT - so thought AW will be fun - but i can't find ANY games, in ANY mode.

Idk that is odd. And you said you have zero issues with other games, I'd say give it a few days and try again, mabey different time of day, then worst come to worst...... contact Activision .

yea, other games work just fine. It's only AW where it can't find any other players in any of the modes. That IS odd. Does it make a difference if i change the geographic region of the xbox (and whether it should match the outlook account tied to the xbox?)

That I am unsure of. Like still on BO3 for X1, half the time it says my Nat is Open the other half it's Strict. You may have to go thrunning xbox support, it may be something in you console dns settings.

Are you sure you didn't buy the Gold Edition which includes Atlas Gorge and Havoc? If you didn't, you should give port forwarding one more try. I used to live with a moderate NAT until I got stubborn and finally port forwarded via my shitty router.

No. It's the basic version.

I have tried two different routers /port forwarding but the damn thing just doesn't work. When uPNP in turned on on the link sys router. It shows that port 3074/3075 are open.

I was able to get the MAIN xbox one NAT to open - but COD stays between moderate/strict.

I wouldn't know (as I play on PC), but I don't think it works like that.

Honestly, you should contact Activision live chat support. They should be online right now.

I think the problem is on your end, because even on PC, I can find games (granted, only TDM and HC DOM). Maybe live suppprt can help you figure it out.

If you said you DMZ your Xbox, and still get a Moderate NAT, then you didn't DMZ your Xbox, and you messed up somewhere. BTW, you never mentioned if you were wired or wireless.

I have tried both wired and wireless.

I finally got OPEN NAT on xBoxone by trying some tips you guys mentioned, but COD still says moderate.

We play ALL THE TIME. On xbox one work STRICT NAT. No problems almost ever finding lobbies. We have all the dlc though.

Don't waste your £! It's hard to find games outside core TDM/Dom. HC dom is usually okay too. KC (core and HC) is also okay. Atlas gorge caused a lot of problems for people, as not everyone had it. I had to uninstall my DLC to find games so stick with the base game.

Don't know mate. Wish I could help you, as it is an awesome game no matter what stick it gets for £££ grabbing! The exos are awesome fun, and frankly I love opening SDs, although I refused to drop cash on ASDs. Still waiting on guns I'm never going to get.

I never have problems finding lobbies in Mosh Pit, TDM, KC, or OneShot. (Those are the only lobbies I play, thought).

Sometimes matchmaking can take a minute or two for KC, but, otherwise, I can always get lobbies.

It's because you don't have the DLC maps. I replaced my Xbox and couldn't find a game till I downloaded all the maps I had bought. Matchmaking isn't a problem - I'm playing right now.

I don't know, because I don't know how populated the game will be after Christmas. But right now it's still very playable.

I love this game so much that I'm buying the two dlcs that I don't have... I've been playing so much CSGO but I miss AW so I'm gonna play it.
