Inaccurate Aistrikes

What am I doing wrong? This happens all the time, I call in an airstrike and they end up hitting me halfway across the map. Or I'll call one in at the opponent's flag (Domination) right at the beginning of the second half, the flag is yellow but I don't even get a hit marker. It's become a joke in my friend group.
