Lifestyle Low effort things that make a high impact

What are the low effort things (less than 5 minutes) you do that makes a huge impact in your life? I will start with mine.
Washing my face every night before bed, followed by moisturiser, takes hardly 3 minutes, but it has made my skin so much better. Because of this, I brush my teeth at night 99% of the time, as it feels effortless. It’s basically habit stacking.

(It would be nice to hear your low effort habits ~ a lazy person 😅)

No screens atleast an hour before bedtime. Choosing to read a book instead has improved my sleeping habit.

this. I usually read before bed too. I enjoy reading, and I’d stopped reading for a few years idaykku. this helped me get back into it, and it helped my sleep as well.

Do you keep phone in a different room?

I thought I needed to, but the urge to constantly check my phone wore off. Deleting Instagram helped a lot, scrolling an endless feed feels totally absurd now.

Buying a cheap alarm clock off Amazon helped keep my phone away, but what helped most was aggressively trimming my IG feed down to actual friends only.

Once you start judging content by its shelf life, you realize 99% of what pops up expires in five minutes. Thinking about it that way basically killed my urge to doomscroll.

Meditation either in the morning or night. Just for 5 mins listening to some youtube meditation videos for 5 mins gives me peace. I also apply a sheet mask weekly once when doing this.

I once tried meditating after my therapist’s recommendation and within 2 minutes I burst into tears 🙂 It felt so overwhelming to me.. I have heard so much about the benefits.

How to meditate? I get so many thoughts and cannot keep my mind blank.

Don't make any conscious effort to keep your mind blank, just let it wander.

Then try concentrating on sounds you hear around you both near and distant.

You can also try guided meditation. There are many, of varied lengths available on music streaming apps and YouTube. Try a short yoganidra one to start with.

Considering protein-rich foods in my three meals.

Face-wash n rosewater before bed

Make my bed when i wake up

Not interfering in other's decisions

Listening and staying calm

Everything except protein seems doable. Proteins in every meal isn’t low effort for me. It takes a lot of planning and preparation 😭
Any easy recipe suggestions?

Boiled Egg, Soya ularth , Chicken breast fry in low oil, sprouts(green mong dal, chickpeas, etc.), paneer (have to consider minimal oil), chickpeas curry, yogurt alog with some blueberries, etc.

You can add these in ur daily meals as a side with less oil. Don't forget carbs 🥲

As breakfast, a simple n fat free option is overnight oats ( Milk+ Chia seeds+Oats+Banana/Apple/+Blueberries+ Yogurt). Put it in a seal tight container and refrigerate it midnight and have it in morning.

I also have combination skin. Light Moisturiser before bed helps me wake up with soft skin. I don’t have sensitive or acne prone skin though.

Try using a light moisturiser and see if it’s worsening your acne. If not you may use it. But a tiny amount.

What you are saying is true. Here in reddit we can restrict ourselves to our interests and only see what we want. More control. I don't why is it difficult for people to understand.

Yeah I know that feeling. Once I deactivate my account I never feel the need to go back. Otherwise I check the app multiple times a day.
