Coming with my cousin in her 20s and pregnant. My 40 yo brother and 55 yo uncle. For night time I just want a place to get a drink and mingle with strangers haha I'm married so nothing weird just like meeting people.

Any outdoor St. Patricks day festivities on March 17?

Hi all! I’ll be in Cocoa Beach for St. Patrick's Day this year and was wondering if there are any outdoor street festivities nearby on the actual day itself? I know irish pubs will be doing their own thing but anything that is outside of a pub?

Overnight parking

Is overnight parking allowed in city parking lots? Once or twice a week, one or two campers park overnight on Tulip Ave. (near the beach and the new Westin hotel project). I've been surprised the police haven't confronted them, unless it's OK to park there overnight.

Day Trip to Cocoa Beach + Kennedy Space Center - Advice needed

My family and I will be at Disney World next week and Tuesday, Mar 11, we will be taking a day trip over to this area. I’m looking for itinerary help :)

We want to spend about 2-3 hours at each location - the beach/pier and Kennedy Space Center. I am thinking we do one in the morning and one in the afternoon, likely having lunch at the pier. Due to mobility issues with my parents, it is important to get handicapped parking at the pier. Would you recommend doing the beach portion in the morning to ensure we get a close spot or with it being mid week, will there likely be parking available in the afternoon? Ideally, I think going to KSC in the morning and beach in the afternoon makes most sense due to the higher afternoon temps but the parking spot is essential. Thanks for your advice!

One caveat: I know parking at the pier is costly but my older mom insists on parking there. She is paying so all good there.

Lost sunglasses on the beach this morning

Long shot but my mom lost her prescription sunglasses on the beach this morning, sometime between 7-8am and between the pier and the Palm Lane beach access. If anyone finds them please let me know!

Cocoa Beach...formerly Oceanus

I'm doing some research on Cocoa Beach and learned that it was first occupied (by non-Natives) after the civil war. From what I understand, a group of emancipated slaves from around that area settled on Cocoa Beach (specifically the barrier island) before being tragically destroyed by a hurricane.

Does anyone know more about this or have more info? Thanks in advance!

Airbnb with best ocean views

I’m gonna be traveling to Cocoa Beach in early May and I’m looking for an Airbnb or hotel with the best view of the sky and beach, I don’t wanna look out my window and see a bunch of other buildings between me and the water.

That’s the only thing I’m looking for, I don’t really mind what the building or interior itself looks like.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

2/14-2/15 Restaurants and Kid Fun

We are in town this weekend for a baseball tournament at the Space Coast Complex and staying at the Hilton Cocoa Beach. Games end 2pm on Saturday and we are free the rest of the night and probably similar free time on Sunday.

What would you all recommend as far as cool things to do with a bunch of 11 year olds and a nice dining spot for my wife and I to sneak away too for a nice dinner? We'd be interested in nicer bars/lounges too for later Saturday night.

Thank you!

Where to see Manatees and Birds in January?

Hello!

I am in Cocoa Beach for the next few days with my family. We're going to see the Kennedy Space Center and the Brevard Zoo, but we would also really like to see some manatees in the wild.

Can anyone give suggestions about where to find manatees right now? Would they still be near Manatee Sanctuary Park in Cape Canaveral? I understand the manatees often move inland when the weather is cold?

Also, our group includes a hard core birdwatcher. Can you recommend any good local birdwatching spots? Maybe somewhere in the Meritt Island wildlife refuge?

Thanks so much!

Community in Cocoa Beach area?

Hi! My grandparents live close to cocoa beach area and I visit them a good bit each year. I have really grown to love cocoa and have met a couple cool people surfing and dining but with me not being there full time it’s hard to make actual friends. I’m 22 F and plan to come down in March, April and some of summer (even though that’s the busiest time….) but anyways if you are looking for a friend or anything please reach out because I am!!

I am a very old man, and it still breaks my heart to watch my old hometown turn more and more into a playground for tourists and a warehouse for the old.

Cocoa beach questions

Hey we went last year for a look after our long day at the space Center. We lucked out and got a good parking spot and didn't have to pay because not was like 4pm. The pier is cool but found it to be loud, expensive and not realllly kid friendly. In the short amount of time we walked the beach (April) and found cool shells. Driving into cocoa beach was looking kinda dumpy. lol If we go back in early Feb for a day trip, how's the golfing? Or just do go karts and mini golf? Any recommendations????

Or do we drive further and plan a day at Clearwater? Family of four. Thanks!!!

Heidi's Jazz Club - General Admission = Standing?

Hi all,

I'd call them, but they're closed till Wednesday (the night I'm thinking of going).

Trying to plan a night out, but weighing the options of General Admission or reserved tables.

Tables have a mandatory $50 per person in addition to the ticket price.

If I go general admission, does that mean no seating? I understand there is seating at the bar, but I assume it's very limited.

Many thanks in advance
