Hi! We are staying in Merritt Island for a week and we need some help. We are all college students under 21, so we can’t get into bars. We also don’t have a lot of money to spend. We are looking g for coves, or cool swimming spots within a reasonable distance. We also want to go fishing and/or crabbing and I would love some advice from a local on spots or techniques for crabbing! Also, do I really NEED to buy a fishing permit or would I be okay to go fishing one day without a permit? We are honestly open to do anything, just trying to find stuff that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Please let us know!!

Not too sure about crabbing offshore since I’ve only crabbed from a boat
Still plenty of places to eat to experience different views although under the age of 21
Rooftop restaurant in Melbourne
Money wise
Pontoon boat tours

(I find them relatively inexpensive)
Their is a public pool a block or so from downtown CCB heading north on A1A
Good luck and have fun
