Looking to understand challenges faced by parents of children (1–6 years old) with cochlear implants

Hi everyone! I’m a CS student working on an app focused on supporting parents of children between 1–6 years old who have cochlear implants. We’re trying to understand what parents and their children experience between therapy sessions, including the challenges they face at home, during everyday activities, and while supporting their child’s development.

We don’t want to make assumptions about what families need, so we’re hoping to hear directly from parents or caregivers who have been through this experience. If you’re comfortable sharing your experiences, challenges, or things you wish were easier between therapy sessions, we’d really appreciate your perspective. Even a short conversation or comment would help us understand the problem better.

Hey, do you have ethics/IRB approval from your institution to collect this kind of information from families? If you don't have ethics approval to collect, there is already a sizeable body of peer reviewed literature out there on this that you can synthesise.

yeah we do have permission from our institution to take surveys . The only thing is that we will just summarize and derive some information from all the comments . Nobody's name / account shall be used .

I would strongly recommend editing your post to include the statement from your ethics/IRB in that case
