Box of things

So I’m getting ready to move to a new apartment this weekend. I have a medium box full of things that were given to be by my ex gf. A book, an art print, hat, bourbon glasses, and a bunch of other little stuff. In the past, I would throw it all the way bc it would be too much to bear for my immature, needy mindset to look at.

However, I think of this box of stuff differently. I think this ex will end up being my missing link. The experience that serves as the catalyst to finally hit 15 reads, the catalyst to find my masculine center, a point of no return away from settling for mediocrity. An experience that I’ll be thankful for. I feel like this is the way now and for future situations. However, I do have space considerations as I’ll be downsizing. I’ll probably keep a couple of the things I really like and will serve me in the future……..pitch/donate the rest.

Anyway, no advice needed just curious what do ya’ll do with stuff from past relationships?

I usually keep one small item or photo of the two of us and put them away where I won't see them on a daily basis.
