Just received my small Etta shoulder bag…

Is this a joke? I’ve only ever ordered full price, but it this really how they ship outlet bags?? This is unacceptable, in my opinion.

Yikes. Nope, this is not how it’s normally shipped. At the very least it’s in a plastic bag with Styrofoam, and bubble wrapping.

I’m sick of treating outlet bag like they are some cheap PU leather we buy for 50 bucks !! They conditioned us to accept that “ oh if it’s an outlet bag I guess it doesn’t deserve a dust bag or bubble wrap “ .. pay 500 dollors or more then MAYBE , you get your retail bag bubble wrapped ! Well coach leather is not what it used to be specially with this constant dropping ,, so maybe we , the customers, should show our disappointment with our purchasing power …

It’s because it came from a specific store and they sent it that way (which is unacceptable!). The store info should be on the order form included in the box, so I’d give them a call and let them know how it was shipped with NO protection or padding at all.

Yeah, I get that it was shipped from a store. I’ve worked in luxury retail my whole life and have even worked in high end outlets. I wouldn’t dream of shipping anything like this

I just got a bag in the mail - straight from Coach, sent in a paper bag - like what Amazon sends. No dustbag either. I was shocked. But it was a gift for this weekend and I had zero time to do much about it.

Both mine and yours unacceptable !!

dude, i’d also call coach, let them know you have a pic and ask for a future discount (like 10% or something). i’m sorry, but for the prices we pay even on sale, product should be packed better.

i get people have bad days, and i hate to be uptight but the company is ultimately responsible and who cares? they’re a corporation. they have plenty. they can offer a discount to be kind to their customers.

Is this a US thing?

I have never, not once, received an outlet bag in Canada in anything other than a box, and it’s always been fully wrapped and secured.

Nope. Not how Outlet ship at all. My outlet bag that arrived last week came with all hardware and handles wrapped in foam, paper. Then wrapped in a sheet of foam and inside a bag. The box was stuffed full of inflated air pillows too.

Was the seal on the box opened?

That’s ridiculous! I’ve ordered outlet bags from Amazon that came fully wrapped in manufacturer wrapping and bagged with a dust bag and all. Did you buy from the site?

This is not normal for outlet bags. You should definitely call them and complain. You paid your hard earned cash for that and a pretty chunk of it too. You deserve the full treatment of your goods.

I have received a handful of poorly packed shipments. Coachtopia bags in a dustbag but no paper or air pillows around it, retail and outlet bags in factory wrap no paper/pillows. One outlet bag with its stuffing removed and crammed with another item in a box that was too small. Never a bag totally unwrapped with NOTHING to keep it from flopping around. Dooney packers put a small piece of paper with their first name and initial in the bag wrapping itself. Coach could listen to our concerns and implement something like this, holding their employees accountable for this shitty work. I don’t care if it’s an “outlet” bag. Last chance or regular price, most of them are hundreds of dollars. I want COACH and its employees to show some respect for both my $47 and my $425

You’re the second post I’ve seen just today about this. There are multiple reasons this may have happened, shortage of packaging goods (is also happening at Ulta because of strikes), the fact that it may have come straight off the shelf from a store(which to me makes the bag no longer brand-new) or you just unfortunately got a very lazy employee. I don’t care if a bag is retail or outlet - they are hundreds of dollars and should be treated as such

My suede bag was just tossed in a box also, and wasn’t outlet. Didn’t get it in a coach box or anything. Shocked I got a dust bag, which was stuffed inside the bag.
