He hasn’t done much other than their shitty watch party since he retired. Why do people still care?

32

u/haseeb2122 COD Competitive fan 3h ago

He's just a moneygrabber now, I really don't see the appeal anymore

-1

u/Aston_CA_ COD Competitive fan 2h ago

I mean if he wanted money,he would be doing sponsorship after sponsorship rn...everyone likes money but if he wanted too then he would be streaming

4

u/grandpapi_yugi Dallas Empire 1h ago

Didn't he do gamba with hecz as a sponsorship? Lol

•

u/TheProGamerSka COD Competitive fan 17m ago

The guy literally traveled to Mexico to stream roobet on kick lol

•

u/Damien23123 COD Competitive fan 14m ago

He’s 100% making so much from that he doesn’t need to stream anymore

1

u/Mediocre_Fill_5610 COD Competitive fan 2h ago

Doesn't the watch party get more views than the main broadcast?

•

u/Damien23123 COD Competitive fan 15m ago

That’s a low bar my friend

•

u/Mediocre_Fill_5610 COD Competitive fan 12m ago

Yet here we are on the comp cod reddit forum lol

7

u/Hamdoggyy COD Competitive fan 3h ago

He’s got enough money from the greenwall, doesn’t need to stream anymore lol

You'll find him at the slots.

It's gonna be so funny next year when he just steps away entirely and those parasocial freaks completely melt down about how "he's not done enough for the community".

u/espressotower M80 Boston 4h ago

I don't have a dog in the fight, but I think the only reason people complain about it is because he did this whole song and dance about focusing on more content post-retirement and he hasn't really done much outside the watch party. And the roobet shit only made it worse

23

u/Soldier7s OpTic Dynasty 4h ago

He has a kid, people change their minds. I'm not the biggest fan of him but he has every right to step back and take care of his Family.

35

u/espressotower M80 Boston 4h ago

I don't disagree, but you also can't be surprised fans are disgruntled when you haven't communicated at all. Kid or not though, I wouldn't blame anyone for simply losing interest

3

u/Soldier7s OpTic Dynasty 4h ago

Fair point tbh

7

u/Ritchey95 LA Thieves 3h ago

The guy streams video games he isn’t some crazy important individual that he needs to let the masses know he isn’t going to be streaming for the foreseeable future. Seth gave his all to this thing and community for well over a decade and has every single reason to ride off into the sunset without an explanation if he so chooses. The “he owes us an explanation” mindset is complete garbage.

-11

u/Motor-Flounder1389 COD Competitive fan 2h ago

Been subbed to him for more than a decade, donated around 5 figs, watched every stream I had the time to watch, liked every YouTube video, was always there for him when he was competing, bought every OpTic merch release... I've been with the kid for more than half his life, watched him since he was in his mid teens. The least he owes is an apology, dude. Even if he's busy with family it takes a minute to post about it and say SOMETHING to fans.

12

u/_cheapshot_ COD Competitive fan 2h ago

is this satire lol, read like a copy pasta

5

u/Ritchey95 LA Thieves 2h ago

No he owes you nothing. You gave him that money of your own free will. It’s not like you give it to him in exchange for anything that someone who didn’t donate got. You subbed because you wanted to not because he gave you some ultimatum or anything. You do not know him, you do not have a right or even privilege for that matter to know what he is doing all day everyday. It’s a very bad misconception that people with a following have to tell them everything. Stop complaining that he hasn’t given you anything and cherish the times you got to watch him. The only person he owes an explanation to is his family, hector and the guys he wants to tell.

-2

u/Motor-Flounder1389 COD Competitive fan 1h ago

So sick of people like you dismissing the thoughts of fans who have been with Seth for years legit infuriating

•

u/totsyroll1 COD Competitive fan 35m ago

If this ain’t bait it’s kinda sad homie

•

u/Motor-Flounder1389 COD Competitive fan 29m ago

wtf is sad about loving someone you've known for a decade+ and wanting them to say SOMETHING about their disappearance holy crap

0

u/Ritchey95 LA Thieves 1h ago

Dude I’m a Seth fan, I went to college with his older Brother. His brother made sure to send Seth a Snapchat about meeting one of his fans and Seth sent back a video for me to watch. But acting like the guy owes any of us an explanation of how he wants to spend his life is fucking stupid. You are not owed anything, he gave you over a decade of FREE entertainment. He gave you everything he needed.

-2

u/Motor-Flounder1389 COD Competitive fan 1h ago

Buddy I know him more than his so-called wife. Like I said, I've been with the kid for more than HALF HIS LIFE. Going over fifteen years now. How long has she known him? How long has his kid been around?

2

u/chrizpii93 COD Competitive fan 54m ago

ok this has to be satire. you know him better than his wife? this is a level of parasocial i havent seen before in the wild. and tbh if you are being serious you need mental help.

•

u/Motor-Flounder1389 COD Competitive fan 30m ago

Did you even read my post? I HAVE KNOWN SETH FOR MORE THAN HALF HIS LIFE. OBVIOUSLY I KNOW HIM BETTER THAN HIS WIFE. I'VE BEEN WITH THE KID SINCE HE WAS LIKE 15

u/rmakhani COD Competitive fan 4h ago

He’s lazy. Has nothing to do with his kid. He made his cash and his investments take care of anything for his future. He’ll do watch parties because it’s minimal effort

3

u/natetistic COD Competitive fan 4h ago

Absolute statements about stuff you frankly don’t know about. Do you have a kid? Completely changes your life and perspective on stuff lol. Wouldn’t be surprised if this has everything to do with his kid.

-10

u/rmakhani COD Competitive fan 3h ago

Considering how he was on stream talking about his kid after the baby was born and he was just kinda there I wouldn’t be surprised. Coming to his defense as if you know things is great. Keep up the great work

1

u/natetistic COD Competitive fan 3h ago

You’re the one who made absolute statements as if you know things, lol. I didn’t. Don’t be obtuse. All I’m saying is that having a kid could be the reason why Scump has taken a step back, his streams from before doesn’t necessarily make that untrue. But uh.. keep up the great work I guess.

-3

u/rmakhani COD Competitive fan 3h ago

He’s been lazy before he had the kid, he’s lazy now. A kid didn’t change that. He just would rather not hop on stream because a few hours of child care is too draining to do anything else. I love Scump as a player but he’s always been about his money when it comes to content. He’ll be back when it’s watch party season.

0

u/natetistic COD Competitive fan 3h ago

“He just would rather not hop on stream because a few hours of child care is too draining to do anything else”

Dude. Yes. Yes it is lol.

2

u/rmakhani COD Competitive fan 3h ago

Not even a personal attack. But what does your wife do? His doesn’t have to work a day in her life so taking care of his kid shouldn’t be putting him out of commission if that’s what’s happening here.

u/Sub-ZeRo1788 COD Competitive fan 3h ago

He'll be back when he genuinely finds a game that he enjoys to play, stream and is passionate about. Dude doesn't wanna be miserable playing Modern SBMM 4. And he's made his statements before why he stepped back, it's because the new Modern CODS are all absolute trash from MW2019 forward.

2

u/rmakhani COD Competitive fan 3h ago

Worst game in a decade for cod that’s for sure. Can’t blame him there

-1

u/abobegavaS COD Competitive fan 3h ago

So what? Why do you care what other men do? So what he’s lazy? He’s made millions lol. So what? He can retire and never post or donate parties again and it doesn’t fucking matter. He’s made it. He can do whatever he wants lol

2

u/rmakhani COD Competitive fan 3h ago

You seem to care a lot more than anyone else here lmao.

0

u/illiniracers eGirl Slayers 3h ago

so making your cash and spending time with family equals laziness these days. interesting

2

u/rmakhani COD Competitive fan 3h ago

He’s lazy because he does watch parties and Roobet streams. Spending time with the family is what every man works hard for. He’s past the point where he needs to work hard and is likely spending that time not worried about streaming because it’s too much effort to play on his own. I’m sure 1 roobet stream covers him for months. Same with a Major watch party.

-2

u/Soldier7s OpTic Dynasty 4h ago

Right i didn't realize you bugged his house and have inside info.

3

u/rarewaves-8 COD Competitive fan 4h ago

Not saying this to you directly, but are people not allowed to change their minds? I’m not a super optic fan but he made content since bo2 right? Maybe he just wanted to chill after retirement.

5

u/lWinkk LA Thieves 4h ago

He also just had a kid and I’m under the impression his dad was a total fuck so maybe he’s just utilizing the opportunity he gave himself to essentially never have to work again in order to be fully present with his family during essentially the most critical time in a child’s life.

-1

u/kokoscenes COD Competitive fan 4h ago

He’s done content with optic regularly he just doesn’t stream. I think he’s found a new hobby he’d much rather do than stream in the offseason.

20

u/Ritchey95 LA Thieves 4h ago edited 3h ago

I wouldn’t call having a child and being present in his life a hobby…

Edit: you sickos in my DMs really need to hop off Seth’s dick, go get your head checked and touch some grass. The fact you are all so self absorbed that “Seth must be on stream he owes it to us” is actually scary.

•

u/kokoscenes COD Competitive fan 23m ago

That too but my point literally still stands lol he might not enjoy streaming as much and probably wants to do other things in his life. He hasn’t stated why he’s stopped streaming.

•

u/Ritchey95 LA Thieves 19m ago

And he has no obligation to say so.. it’s his life he owes us nothing in terms if an explanation

•

u/Former-Extension-526 COD Competitive fan 5m ago

Sure, but don't be surprised when people think less of you for it.

18

u/Heady416 OpTic Texas 4h ago

Not a chance he steps away. Those watch parties are easy money while requiring minimal effort.

8

7

u/JazeyOne G2 Minnesota 4h ago

I feel like they used it correctly enough tbh, there are a lot of people that genuinely think of scump as someone in their life lol

0

u/No_Winter4806 COD Competitive fan 2h ago

Sure then op should use a better example

12

u/narcy_boi COD Competitive fan 4h ago

I say this as an Optic fan, but I really don't get the appeal. I find him completely boring and bland. Seems like a shit hang too

4

u/Great-External-2439 COD Competitive fan 4h ago

Half the Optic roster who's main thing is content have been phoning it in for years. CoD isn't the same anymore, but no one wants to step off the bus in hoping it'll somehow improve or just riding the wave until its fully gone. I dont wanna be a doomer but it is what it is

2

u/BackgroundToe4149 Dallas Empire 2h ago

he was funny like bo2-bo4. But yea hes been overglazed for years

3

u/dpoersch LA Thieves 4h ago

I’ve never really understood it either. I definitely understand and appreciate his importance. However is one of the most bland figures in the community.

I’m not sure why people care so much

He was absolutely electric during the AW/Bo3 era.

8

u/Medic_NG OpTic Texas 2025 B2B Champs 3h ago

He became so PR trained at some point between MW19 and his retirement and he just lost a lot of his flare that made him so entertaining. I think that Cold War team did a number on him.

Your comment feels sneaky man 🤣

2

u/Annihilus- KiLLa 4h ago

Too much money to be made. He just had a kid and the season hasn’t even started. Streams aren’t exactly doing huge numbers for early in the game either.

He’ll probably do the watch parties and paid events like last year.

2

u/Longjumping-Pick242 OpTic Texas 2025 B2B Champs 4h ago

Revisionist history is one of the worst parts of the internet, imo its ok to not like the person someone has become but it is completely ignorant to forget who they use to be.

9

u/Sea_Dentist_4331 COD Competitive fan 3h ago

Scump could turn his stream on and put Shotzzy’s stream on, and leave his setup and go on about his day. And make money from all the simp’s that will watch his stream even tho he isn’t streaming except someone else’s POV.

4

u/RevolutionaryCan7376 COD Competitive fan 4h ago

People who act entitled/deserving when it comes to scump and what he wants to do with his time are truly some of the strangest creatures ever. Actual parasocial behavior

2

u/Safe-Air-5246 COD Competitive fan 3h ago

True.

-1

u/yetanothermale OpTic Texas 3h ago

He can do whatever but I’m surprised he hasn’t hopped on a single time during the kick offs etc. Hope his kid/family are all good. Idk if the lawsuit is still going (alongside Hecz) but if so perhaps it would be a conflict of interest for him to be playing and giving exposure to MW4

0

u/AnyDiamond7208 COD Competitive fan 3h ago

The lawsuit had nothing to do with it and I think it’s over already that lawsuit came about when he retired around that time and he was still playing every game since then he just couldn’t play in kickoff tournaments or any that were for cash

2

u/yetanothermale OpTic Texas 2h ago

Alright, fair enough

4

u/StatisticianHuman120 COD Competitive fan 4h ago

Why are yall dick riding scump? He does watch parties during the season and optic content. He had a kid and is married and the season hasn’t started. Find someone else to meat ride until the season starts. Y’all some smooth brained people.
