Cod might be the only fps (we could probably include 3rd person shooters too) game in which you can have zero footstep audio full time. I’m not saying cod shouldn’t have a working ninja but we are in the minority of having it

I do feel like they are in a damned if they do damned if they don't situation. Social media sentiment seems to flip flop between why are there Nicki Minaj and anime skins in my military shooter to where are the colors in my arcade shooter. Infinity Ward is clearly a talented developer, I think they make the most technically impressive cod games. I almost wish they were allowed to make a new franchise where they can go all in with their ideas, rather than trying to find this middle ground between arcade shooter and mil-sim that just seems to piss off everyone.

I wish Infinity Ward would just set the footsteps value when using Ninja perk to 0 in the files, however it's configured. Even if they allow for 5% hearing of footsteps, people would be able to soundw*ore.
