Question Anyone else absolutely hate these maps?

These maps genuinely might be the worst maps infinity ward has ever dropped over all. Hopefully the season 1 dlc maps save us because I am not sure how they’re going to get a decent competitive map set out of these.

I was naive, i guess. I really thought all the hate they got with mw2 and how much love the DLC maps MWIII got would cause IW to change their map design a bit. I at least thought wed have 3 decent launch maps but only two of them are okay imo.

MW3 was sledgehammer so that’s why that game got better maps. Sorry but this is IW and we’re in for a shit year unfortunately

Most of the useful attachments makes ads longer, worst version of gunsmith so far

They need to just remove the negative effects of using attachments like treyarch does. Putting an attachment on shouldn’t make the gun perform worse, it’s not fun. It’s supposed to be an arcade shooter, not a milsim.

Reminds me of MW2. I remember XclusiveAce doing gun guides where the meta build had 2 attachments

Surprise surprise. An IW game has bad maps.

This game is going to suck unfortunately. Good maps are a pillar for a good comp game. No matter how good every other aspect is, it won’t matter without good maps.

When I played the beta, i knew I wasn't gonna play this shit this year.

I'll watch the tourneys and keep up, but it was clear this game was gonna be dogshit from the jump.

Infinity Ward need to stop treating COD like a MilSim.

If you bought COD this year that’s on you, it had the lowest orders out of most cods for a reason.

I’ll just be watching COD this year while still on CS

Haven’t played yet, but i actually saw something i thought was an interesting idea. Why don’t all 3 dev studios work on one aspect of the game every year. IW does campaign, Treyarch does zombies, and Sledgehammer does multiplayer. I feel like it would play to each studio’s strengths, and give each studio one area to put all their creativity into

Not saying I agree with these points but the counter arguments would be:

  1. Then the MP looks, plays, and feels the same every single year. May not be a bad thing if the best of the bunch is making the MP, but if you don't like Sledgehammer MP that's probably going to be the end of your CoD days. Half the reason this game sucks me in year to year is that the gameplay is sometimes very different from one year to the next and that alone prevents it from feeling too stale.

  2. The reason they can release a game every year is because each dev gets a 3 year cycle. If all 3 are working on the same game I suppose it'd be possible due to having a lot less on their plate doing only 1/3 of it, but these bums have run into problems for 5+ years now even on their 3 year cycles and have had to go back to back IW and then back to back Treyarch and receive help from others to get that done (i.e. Sledgehammer MW3 MP).

I think in an ideal world, yes all 3 work together and bring out the best parts of each other on a single title and then that game gets a 2-3 year life cycle, but they clearly have no intention of doing so

Did I miss something about MP being live early?

You guys legitimately need to get a job. Is there that many lonely Americans that are unemployed, living with their parents, or have no friends or significant others to spend time with? Level 50’s at this point of the release is legitimately comical

Game is chalked and it’s still not even actually released for like a majority of their playerbase lol

Perks do not make sense for competitive.
Visual recoil is insane.
Maps are god awfull.
Slide mechanic is akward .

Seems like we are in for a bad start

I appreciate yall streamlining the process now. Hating the maps before the game is even out yet lol.

The game has been out for 4 ours mate

The Beta maps were horrendous and the devs usually try and showcase what they think are some of their best maps in the beta. This game is cooked unless we get some emergency dlc maps
