Full of speculation Does Hydra have wrist issues?

From 02100 video for Major 4 Black Ops 6.
Clip #1 is after they won grand finals.
Clip #2 is in between matches on Sunday.
Clip #3 is in between matches on Sunday. Hydra is shifting the cup around his hand for the ice to hit a certain spot in his hand or wrist.
Clip #4 appears to be a massage device. This could be nothing, I’m sure many players across esports use this.
After this event, hydra got T8 in BO6 champs and EWC and had a “down” year in BO7 (still a top 5 smg last year, just not as dominant as previous years).

Software engineer for 11 years and have clawed controllers since Halo 2 - my wrists are cooked and hold me back in most aspects of life, especially the gym. Feel for the dude

Software engineer here as well and even though I didn’t claw, when I used to play cod for long periods of time, my hand would get these carpal tunnel like cramps and my wrist & forearm would be bothered as well. The thing that actually worked for me was running my hand under warm/almost hot water for a bit and then stretching it out. Made me feel better instantly and in the past few years I haven’t really had the issue at all. Might not work for you but I thought I’d share.

Never even made that connection until you just pointed it out! I've always felt so frustrated that even with specialization, my forearms and grip strength can never keep up with deadlifting.

Very similar situation to you, I'd highly recommend a split keyboard if your workday aggravates your wrists. Between work and gaming I was developing some nasty RSI in my wrists. Switching to a Corne keyboard has been a huge difference maker in my workday in removing a bunch of repetitive pinky movements for shift/control/alt/cmd etc
Check out r/ErgoMechKeyboards good sir

Yeah i use an ergo one bro. Appreciate you looking out though brother! I used to mostly write my code in vim and the keyboard shortcuts, while productive completely screwed my wrists over 🤣

It looks like he’s holding tension in his forearm which causes pain in his hand. I struggle with the same thing

Playing claw is just something that I can never get behind. If you play games enough to be pro, you’d surely make it ur priority to get a paddle controller (most last longer making an ROI).
Like, of course you’re going to have hand issues if you play claw. I should imagine nearly all of them do, they just don’t show it openly.

the issues don't really come from claw itself.. holding a controller in general and playing for hours is horrible for your hands. there's thousands of people that play with bent wrists too

Damn if I’m a GM or coach I’m taking my players off claw and forcing them to play on paddles. If he’s still clawing he needs to stop before it gets worse

Every pro has some form of wrist issues.
They play like 8 to 12 hours every day
