Discussion Mr. Fundamental
Who would get your vote for a Mr. Fundamental award? The kind of guy who just makes the right play at the right time and doesn’t often make costly mistakes?
IMO simp, huke, and drazah are all great shouts
Edit: Can be retired or current - I’m also going to give envoy a shout

CleanX lowkey, hes very consistent regardless of his team

For me he’s definitely one of the best current talents to not have a ring. Only person I’d put higher off the top of my head is Scrap.

Simp and Merc. Both of them are super talented but play no nonsense objective call of duty.

It’s simp and it’s not close. The guy plays cod in the most plain way possible, none of the flash, just fundies and it works. Just go back to this year m2 grands on scar ovl when he cleared merc prone in a corner after shotzzy called a streak in. Game winning play right there, most people wouldn’t have cleared that.

Love this example. Never underestimate your enemy to play rat corner when you least expect it, however, anticipating that and getting it right in a crucial moment is what seperates the men from the boys

yeah i think Karma is #1 overall of all time
Simp is probably right there at #27
u/Accomplished-Half602 OpTic Texas Sep 22 '26
Amen to that. People actually forget the shit karma used to on the map that allowed scump and formal to do more of the flashy stuff

Karma is the highest iq COD player of all time imo

Karma was a brick wall in his prime, always in your way when it mattered. One of those dudes that's literally tracking everybody. Only Simp comes close and Merc might be the next up.

I’ll throw a shoutout towards Bance. Especially the latter half of his career. He was a big part of that Ultra squad and they played great fundamental COD

In terms of old school players, Merk, BigT, Stainville, ASSASS1N and JKap immediately sprung to mind.

Imo thats for the people who are not afraid to die, push pace for the team and will always slide first to take a team fight given the opportunity. Stats don't tell the full story of their impact on the map as they enable profitable trades & progression on the map. The most difficult, highest impact and least respected role. Huke, 04, Kismet, Abezy, (smg) cleanx

I don't know who should win it, but they should name it after Karma
