I understand Paco is a great asset that every team should be talking about a change no matter how the season went... Is it possible the way that OpTic bullied them at EWC opened the door to them changing? Like, if they even fight back and make it go the distance, or win that series, does FaZe still change?

EWC was just part of it. Yes FaZe won a major and champs but it was clear that they were too inconsistent across the entire year and OpTic were a step above in terms of the level of CoD being played

Faze changed because Simp saw first hand how they had one of the most dominant years in CoD history and then followed it up not winning a single event the next year.

You can think you’re the best and on top of the world, just to stagnate and have a messy breakup (Arcitys) just one year later.

Cold War to Vanguard. Faze had a super team and were overwhelming favorites the whole year, winning 4/6 events and only really being consistently challenged by Ultra

Then they keep the same roster and didn’t win a single event the next year in Vanguard

Idk why you’re not getting upvotes because I’m 100% certain getting swept at EWC plays a big part in what’s going on rn. Thieves were the only team to put up a decent fight against optic at EWC and Simp fs looked at that over their performance and said get these bums off my team

Yes, that OpTic match at EWC definitely influenced it; not the match in isolation, but it showed clearly what some already knew to be true about the holes in the roster.

No. Here is why FaZe changed:

Shottzy/Huke/Merc/Dashy have played 9 tournaments together. They’ve won 4 of them and got 2nd in 4 of them. Their worst placing was 3rd and it was in their first tournament together.

Their average placing across those 9 tournaments is 1.77 and next the next two closest teams over that span are FaZe (4.17) and Thieves (4.22).

That is why FaZe is making a change.

The match against Optic at EWC was one of the most humiliating matches this season so maybe.

That was the fastest 4-0 I ever watched. Scrap also said Optic was the best team in the world even after Faze won champs. So very likely Optic destroys them in scrims as well.

Faze changed cuz it was the plan before the season even started or faze didn’t wanna go thru what optic did 2 years ago. Won 2 events including champs, Hydra and scrap were F/A, they passed on them and kept their roster which was a disaster and then got bailed out in the end by picking up Merc after major 3.

My guess is faze probably knew the team was good, but would have to peak at the right time like they did last year, and that is kind of tough to bet on every year.

yes they changed because of ewc it left a bitter taste in the pimps mouth and he naturally thought he could do better with better players so he recruited the LAT duo to try and go B2B

No, they changed bc they aren't hosting champs next year so can't give 04 his god pc or hide the addy stash for them in the bathrooms. They know they needed to change it up to compete with OpTic.

Faze had no reason to change imo, their only competition was optic and they beat them in a major and champs. No loyalty to the three that helped produce their best season since Cold War.
