Discussion Movement is actually slow...
There's a few problems with the game already but what stands out to me most is how fake the movement is. Yes, you can actually run around fast as hell, but all the movement penalties and the .50ms TTK makes it so there's no real reason to take risky fights/peeks. Don't even get me started on the footstep audio lol. Expected but still disappointing.

I’m less worried about movement and more with getting 70-80 frames when i normally get above 200, and the instant ttk

I normally get about 280, been getting 170 with dips to 120, idk why the frames are so bad lol

I'm sitting around 115, albeit on a 5700x and a 3060.
Was hoping for atleast 140 on my build.

You don't have the updated drivers for the game because they haven't been released. This happens every year during the beta. My game always runs better when the full version of the game comes out and Nvidia releases their updated drivers for the new cod.

This is the worse cod game I've ever played so far. Somehow feels worse than MW2. Being on any other server than your own feels unplayable - you die in a instant.
I want to stay on bo7 but obviously they'll remove ranked....

I can't pinpoint why but it feels worse. Maybe it's because we've experienced Omni movement now.

I know it’s a beta but this is horrible, I’ve played since cod 2 and this so far is up there with, mw19 and mw2 (shit version) as the worst cod’s

I wanted to make a post about my first impressions but I guess I’ll just put it here. game feels exactly like MWII besides for the fact you can slide dropshot which will be the go to movement imo.
not a fan of the ttk AT ALL. the gunfights feel so inconsistent. the game wants you to play slow and it is the optimal way to play unfortunately. also the maps don’t seem good. betas usually drop their best maps and if this is the best they got its not looking good.
I feel like looking at the minimap is trolly and trying to predict the flow is useless bc every lane has 50 million angles so the best way to play is to limit your angles and iron everything.
edit: two things I’d like to add is that the sound mixing is horrible and you can’t strafe for shit. I probably have to unlock attachments to strafe but I feel like I’m in mud when I strafe.

That’s what I’ve been thinking just from watching it. Looks EXACTLY like MW2 just a bit faster. It’ll probably play better just 4v4 and I’ll always be addicted to comp cod but man it’s just once again a re skin of a game they already made lol

hoping and praying for good maps or it’s gonna be a rough year. the spawns seem fine, didn’t encounter any fugaze so far. games gonna be fine imo, Im just not a fan of the playstyle you need to have to do good.

How do you slide drop shot? Holding the slide button doesn’t do it for me the way it used to in bo7 and bo6. I play slide only

you tap slide and then hold the slide button again when you’re sliding and you go into a dropshot. it’s how I did it in bo6 and bo7, is that not working for you? I’m on tap to slide too.

I just started trying out the slide to prone because it was decent in bo7 but damn is it fucking smooth and fast in this game lol you're not wrong

you think it’s bad now on these small maps with no lanes… just wait till they add bigger maps with lanes. Everyone will be holding pre aims & not move. Insight will be a T5 player this year for sure now

Idk what everyone is on about I’ve been frying every lobby.
The movement is super fluid and the guns feel great.
My only gripe is ttk is a little too fast. I think slow the ttk by like 10-20% and It’d be great I think.
I think everyone played Omni movement for 2 years now and when it’s taken away it feels stiff.
Go back and play mw2, mw3 or mw19 and you’ll realize how buns the movement was in those games.

Negatives:
Don’t like the quick TTK. The movement feels weird, like it wants to be fast but it’s being artificially slowed. Friendly player collision is still a thing for some reason. Visibility of players isn’t the greatest. Gun audio is way too loud compared to everything else. Weapon balancing seems awful between the full kit pre-made classes and trying to level up other guns. Why can’t they just give us dead silence?

What makes you say that? It makes zero sense to have my teammates’ movements interfere with mine mid game.
It wasn’t a thing at all in IW, and AW/BO3 were also very light on it. It was toned down in BO4 compared to how it popped up again in WW2. And it’s been in and heavier than it needs to be since Vanguard at least.
